Turn indicators integrated into mirrors are much more visible to other drivers from a distance compared to tiny indicators the bikes usually have around the fork or bodywork. So in my opinion this is a huge advantage. Regarding the fuel gauge I agree it's a disadvantage. But it's worth mentioning that a fuel indicator on GSXR also has two modes - blinking (less than gallon left) and solid (less than 0.3 gallons left). Hope this is helpful.

Loved my 600 k7, but the things I hated: I went through 2 stators and 3 regulator rectifiers, the mirrors...oh the mirrors. They have plastic nubs that locate them to lock in place, eventually the nubs wear away and the mirrors flap and fold in at higher speeds. Other than that? loved it. Until a 3 ton Volvo wiped me out head on. Oh and one of my bar end weights came off and went through the frame clean...make sure your bar ends aren't huge, otherwise if you drop it? that suckers going through the frame.

True. Cbr servicing also is a pain... gixxer is much more rideable and fun factor is higher.
Also i ride since 6 3xnational dirt champ. My dad is a suzuki engineer has 2 turbo busas and one fully build k5.
      Dont fall for the hype
Gsxr is far more reliable than a cbr.

@@bobanppvc u dont drive a bike m8. Lets just leave it here... fyi my bike is an original repsol 1000rr since new 2005... a gixxer.is a much superior ride. But i love my cbr to death so i will always keep her for daily commute. But when the soul needs to feel restless and free. I ride my k6 1000. Nuff said
As for reliability enginewise gixxer all the way.
      Electronics gixxer all the way
The only thing cbr has over gixxer are superior stopping power and much better geometry. But geometry is the reason bike has prolly 30% less power stock to stock. And raw real beast character of the old 954 blade is gone out of the window long time ago for honda

How often do these rectifier die and how difficult is it to change? Im buying my first sport bike and the gsxr 600/750 is on the shortlist along with the Ducati 848 and yamaha r6.... im leaning towards the gixxer because out of all 3 it feels the most comfortable but I don’t want to be buying something that will spend most of the its weekends out of action. I got a 05 gsxr 600 and as of now the only thing I really hate about it is the clip ons are super low even at the highest adjustment u can put the on because the tank is so big u gotta lay over it to get to the grips. So you gotta buy adjustable clip ons and then if you do that you gotta cut the front shield to clear new clip ons..
