Only just discovered this channel but been loving it so far. Reminds me of a few years ago when I was a beginner and it’s kinda nostalgic. Would love to see you get a gnarly shaped deck like a heroin or welcome. Great channel 👍

Thanks for checking out the channel! Trust me I'm not a beginner I just suck 🤣 just out here having some fun haha. yeah definitely something I'd consider although I don't skate an awful lot of transition, as you can probably tell the skatepark here isn't great lol wouldn't mind a pool style deck or something similar for cruising though 👌

@@SkateboardingWithYerDa check out dead Dave and Craig questions they’re really creative with how they skate and they might give you some ideas like they did for me 🤘

Nice review mate. 30 notes seems fair for that long board 👊.

Thanks mate, it was fun making this video! It's fine for messing about but don't think I'd trust it for anything serious, don't fancy bombing hills at speed on it! 🤣

It's crazy they can make it so cheap.... Good review mate

Awesome vid guys! N that’s a really good point about the shrink wrap, surely cheap brands aren’t selling the decks separately so wrapping the whole thing would have been easier you would have thought, maybe stuff has to be a certain size to go through the machine? 🤔

Cheers bud! My best guess is the decks)(and probably all other parts) are outsourced and comes to the assembly line pre wrapped. Anything they can do to keep costs down!

It can get dangerous buying boards, especially when you have to explain it to the wife 🤣👌 thanks for watching dude! 👊

Great review mate. Definitely seem to get what you pay for but if it just helps a few people get on a board for the first time it’s not a bad bit of kit. Why they always insist on shit bearings when decent ones are quite reasonably priced I don’t know 🤷‍♂️

Cheers mate appreciate you dropping in and watching. Yeah that's the goal here, it gives potential new skaters a bit of perspective so they know what to expect if they buy something cheap. It's mad isn't it, good thing bearings are one of the cheapest parts to replace!

9 ply is common in long boards for strength because they're longer IYSWIM. Trucks looked too tight for much carving fun.

Thanks for the info! I figured it was something like that, IIRC Street boards get a lot of their strength from the concave so that could be a factor too. I usually ride tight trucks so they felt loose to me 😂 but I'll try loosening them next time I'm out!
