I was actually really surprised to see blood in the movie. I've never seen an animated movie that had actual drops of blood, whenever someone gets injured it's usually a bruise or just a red cut. Only other time I can think of seeing blood is when Flynn gets stabbed in Tangled, but that's just for a second and is just a stain, not like, actual drops of blood.

Deaths message of “Fight for your life, and never take it for granted are what the kids in America need to hear. They take anything they get from their parents or their grandparents as if they deserve it, like they bought it with their own money, not as if it’s a privilege that can be taken away. Kids in Africa would hear “you wanna play games on my iPad with me?” And then either ask what an iPad is or be surprised that someone actually has one. We had exchange students this year, and they had never used a device other than calculators, the one Computer their school had, and the flip phones they had. They were surprised that almost everyone had a smartphone, if not one maybe two computers at home.

It's a drop of blood. Every kid gets a cut or scraped knee that ends up way worse than that.
when I fell down a slope before, my parents have an easy way to locate me: I bled so much that it left a trail on the way down
The thing is that young kids can (and I think should) watch movies like pus and boots, experience the fear and joy that comes with it, and understand/process the information in it. Media nowadays has such a focus on only letting your kids watch the most brain dead thing they can think of that we forget it’s important for kids to also see good stories. What you don’t want your kids to see is violence on a larger scale, and more often in their daily life. It’s been shown that horror movies specifically will desensitize children to things like violence, but children’s horror exists as a safe way for your kid to experience that. Movies and shows like coraline, creeped out, goosebumps, are you afraid of the dark, etc. are all great options for a child to enjoy horror without exposing them to actual harmful content. Kids get hurt, and seeing a bit of blood in a tense scene won’t have any massive reproductions. I do get that’s not every kid should be seeing that though, I used to cry when tv characters forgot their lunch at home. Sorry this is super rants and I don’t have extensive experience with kids but I wrote this whole thing and I don’t want to delete it :|
I literally saw Blazing Saddles at 9 years old. Why are people freaking out? It’s like a drop of blood. I’ve destroyed my knees and hands worse from rollerblading at that age for the length of time it would take to watch the whole movie.
If Karen's are mad about death,saying it's 13+,then Coraline would be 13++
Facts
Bro, those kids would be traumatized if they saw Coraline lol.
That movie gave my 11 year old self nightmares. I had read the book but i still wasnt prepared.

Back then:
the kid: mom/dad i scraped my knee
the parents: grow up already
now:
the kid: mom/dad i scraped my knee
the parents: im going to sue that concrete
bruh on tiny drop of blood made parents mad
When in Pinocchio when someone literally says jackass
I think introducing kids to these ideas isn’t a bad thing, it’s a way to help them understand things like mortality and appreciating the life they have
Sometimes it's good to show that the world ain't no rainbows and sunshine to kids as long as it's got a positive message which the movie does
Kids can handle anything as long as you attach a happy ending.
-Disney
Bruh let them stay mad that scene was great
PG is already a rating.
E is for everyone
PG is rated for children 10 and up
PG-13 is for teenagers
And R is for 17 and up
But I guarantee you these parents who are complaining about death are the same parents who took their 10-year-olds to watch Deadpool and then complained about Deadpool even though it was rated R
R is for 18 not 17 it’s mature for 17+

This is the only time Puss has been genuinely scared to "Death". Not only because of how intimidating Death is but the fact that he's on his last life and he could die any time.
Remember, if your a parent who wants their child’s safety, don’t forget ketchup exists
Sinba's dad just casually dying by getting torn up by some cows while parents are mad for a drop of blood
Parents really underestimate their kids if they think that they would be scared of death. I watched the three og Jurassic parks when I was like five and loved em
The parents are wrong in a way, but you are wrong in another way. Just because you liked something, or just because you don't fear somthing doesn't mean every other kid is the same. Its up to parents to decide if their kid can handle a certain movie at a specific time in their life or not, despite ratings.
A complaint about Puss in boots from these parents, in fact, was "Kids cried whenever death came on screen." I think you also overestimate some children, they're humans and individuals and some can't handle things others can.
An average child watching Disney would see more blood in a bike accident trying to get off training wheels than THAT.
Lets be real the same kids watching it have probably injured themselves playing and seeing more blood then that from those injurys
Dreamworks knows that their audience are growing up

PG stands for parental guidance, yet karens aren’t bothered to take the time to like, you know, talk it out with their kids
I feel like once PG-13 became a thing, PG no longer had any edge. I mean Beetlejuice literally had the F-Bomb, Raiders of the lost Ark had peoples faces melting off, and both were PG. Nowadays it’s only used so people don’t have to watch a G rated film. Like wtf is Inside Out trynna pull with “Mild thematic elements”? Tf does that even mean?
