Awesome find for sure...nothing wrong with making 100x your money. I found one of my best profit items a few months back - bought a 1950's Buco racing helmet for $10...sold for $3k. So, I know the feeling...gets the juices going for sure! Congrats!

As soon as I saw the name "Brother" I knew it was an Embroidery Machine and said to myself, "ah, this is the $3000.00 find" I am a seamstress and these can run $8000. or more brand new! Great score on everything Matt!

I literally was just looking up comps on sewing machines last weekend and I knew right away when I saw it in the video it was ur best find. That was a great garage sale at the end. Nice haul!
I can not believe people sell things at garage sales for less than $1, I was a partner with my Uncle for 2 years, we bought storage lockers and resold it all at garage sales and on Craigslist. I ran the garage sales out of my garage and driveway on the 1st weekend of every month, and I never sold anything for less than $1. If someone refused to pay a dollar, I said ok, that's the price, take it or leave it. And sometimes they would leave it, which was fine by me.

My favorite thing to find when I'm out at garage sales or thrifting is stuff that I can use for my resale business. My Dymo 4xl was $25 and basically brand new at a garage sale, and I still use the crap out of it every day!
Such great eyes finding stuff, but as much as that Brother embroidery machine was the best find, I loved the 49ers sign!

Great finds. The embroidery machine is awesome. I wouldnt sell that thing too quickly. Use it for a while and see how it suits your needs. You can always sell it later. But, it may produce some quality goods for you.

Yes, those embroidery machines are pricey. Even at hundreds of dollars for $30, it’s a steal. I’ve been hunting for Sergers..still no luck

Funnily enough I just got a free Guitar Hero drum set for free as well. Mine’s for the ps3, but I also got a couple action figures new in box, some pins for my wife, a video game and a box of baseball cards. The guy said if I help him move something I could have it all for $10. Half way through he said it was heavier than he thought and said I could have everything for free. It pays to be helpful!

Many folks having garage sales just want items gone. Who knows where they acquired all the things. Sometimes cash is best for them and they do not want to sell online. Keep up the great work showing us how to behave at sales. You have such an eye and vision for what has value. Your kindness will always pay you back in dividends.

Wow. Wow. Wow!!!!! I've been looking at sewing machines because I had two to sell, but I didn't come across anything that expensive. I had one that would have gone for about $1200, but it didn't work and the sewing machine repair said it would cost about $600 to repair, IF they could get the parts. We just recycled it. You have such a great eye for all of this stuff. You really know what to look for.

Scored on the sewing machine. Find a dealer that has that brand and take a class or two on that machine if you can. It will be so helpful, and you will learn many more tricks and possibilities, and you will use it and not be intimidated. So many buy one and hardly use it. It may need a service...$ well spent.

Hey man, love your videos I watch them all the time. We just started flipping and ran into an issue through eBay that I’m curious if you’ve seen. We shipped out a perfectly working item (and as described) to a buyer, the buyer messaged us and claimed it was missing parts/was inoperable. She then requested a return. Following this the buyer made claims that she spent money on repairs that match the price of the item (without any communication with us). Lastly the buyer filed a payment dispute with her bank and we’re being told by eBay staff members that it’s highly unlikely that we see our item or the money from this transaction. We’re being told to accept the dispute and “try to get our item back”, when the buyer messaged us she was keeping the item and asking to be refunded. Thanks in advance to anyone that can answer this!
When you pick a sewing machine up , put your arm through the neck. Don’t use the handle. They are quite heavy.

I bought a 1954 Selmer SBA tenor sax at a yard sale for $25 and sold it for $10k. The lady who sold it to me said it was her late father’s trombone and demanded $25 no less. lol

If you want to get into embroidery, i would keep the machine. Almost like a serendipitous opportunity. You'll end up wanting to do more than the hypothetical 600 dollar machine can do in no time. Or use the money and buy a whole stock off of embroidered hats. I know a guy if you're interested, he's trying to get his company off the ground, does all of our bands stuff, great to deal with. PA prices.

You can get a 99 dollar easy press and press on vinyl letters on shirts or hats. And a cricuit machine you can get for a couple hundred to make all kinds of designs with the vinyl

What a deal on that sewing/embroidery machine. youtube has great tutorials. Be careful on getting the cheaper embroidery machines. They don't do as good a job in the long run. Brother/Babylock machines are excellent. I have a Babylock and knew instantly when you showed that machine that that was your great buy! hurray!
