  • A hands-on review of the famous machine learning specialization by Coursera co-founder Andrew Ng. Will that be enough to differentiate it?

Nice review but I have an observation. You didn't honestly reveal the concerns about the course. You said you also opened your jupyter notebook side by side and run the code. But honestly these codes do not run successfully outside the jupyter notebook of the course because some of the packages like lab_utils_uni, lab_utils_multi and others cannot be run outside coursera jupyter notebook. And you can't install these python packages because they are not available. Also the data that was imported in course 1 can only be used exclusively on coursera jupyter notebook.
Just imagine going though hours of learning and I can't used the packages I learn from these course for a new project on a new jupyter notebook. The course is not even suitable to beginners because the python lab will confuse them.
For me, the best course for beginners on coursera for Machine Learning is IBM Data Science specialization. I will appreciate your reply on my observation. Thanks

with the exception of lab_utils_uni and lab_utils_multi packages, every other code line ran outside the course jupyter notebook. In some cases i had to tweak the codes so it could run. I guess it is all part of the learning process. e.g in the model representation lab, you have to include the line "from matplotlib import style" and exclude "plt.style.use('./deeplearning.mplstyle')" for the code to run outside the course jupyter notebook.
The data should come through as you run your codes, so no need to import. Sadly, we going to have to figure out the alternative solution to lab_utils_uni and lab_utils_multi packages to work outside the course jupyter notebook. Hopefully you'll see it as a challenge worth taking on.

    Good morning Sir,
I want to have a career switch but the courses/ content online are bulky and confusing. I will appreciate your mentorship and courses you took on your journey of becoming a data analyst.

I'm half way through the IBM DS Cert and would recommend that you look elsewhere. The content is very poorly explained, the exercises are extremely theoretical and not very practical, it very much throws you into the deep end. The discussion forums of the courses are littered with people asking for help and pointing out flaws/mistakes with the courses, and the staff responses are extremely unhelpful. Keep looking!
