    An assistant backstage is listening the entire time and wrote the message quickly after it was decided. The assistant wheels out the table and somehow the message is transferred from inside the table to inside the box at the last minute.

    Amateurs everywhere. The trick is really simple. The night before the show you call the Doctor. He comes to you with the Tardis. You travel back in time to get a potion that makes you invisible by collecting the blood of a dragon (you have to slay the dragon with a frozen carrot otherwise the blood will turn into ants) from its left ankle. After that you travel to the Ellen show, hide in the audience (invisible) and write down what the people say. Once that is done all you have to do is go back to your original time and put the note in the box.

    If anyone is still wondering how this is done, the table is key. An assistant is writing down all the answers as they get chosen by the audience, then put it in the table. He then puts the box on the table and transfers the note to the box. Which is also why he asks Ellen to go to the other side of the table for no reason (Other than so she can't reveal his "trick").

      1: Not an amateur. 2: The person backstage who later wheels in the table is writing down the tweet. At 3:14 Justin hits a button with his right thumb on the table which opens a hatch inside the table. The bottom of the box is clearly opens me due to the off hinges. When he reaches his hand into the box you can hear the sound of plastic hitting plastic as he takes the cylinder out of the table and through the box. It's awesome at first when you think it is real. Less awesome, but still awesome, when you know how it is done. I still respect him for pulling off that trick so sneakily.

    Im not normally one to give things away but at 3:15 when he hits a button with his thumb was after the assistant went away and before the assistant went away the box was not yet placed on the table. So maybe the guy was writing everything back stage as it was being said. The whole "i had a dram where i was singing in tahiti" was just to take up time so he can finish writing backstage. After he was done writing maybe he stuck it in the tube under the table top since the table top is to skinny for a roll of paper. When he does whatever with his thumb it opens a compartment in the box and the table to the paper can go into through the leg and into the tube in the box

    The table contains a thick underplate which can hold the sheet which was prepared as the show went on. The bottle has a side slit which is positioned vertically downwards in the box. When the lid is opened, a lever below the box pushes the folded sheet from the table into the bottle through the slit. Once the sheet is in, and the bottle is pulled out, the slit wont be visible because the material tries to regain its tension.clues:table thickness,soft material on it, folded sheet in round bottle.

    All people were just normal people, nothing to do with the trick. But seriously, I'm a kid and I understand this trick. ITS OBVIOUS... Whilst the beach ball was going around, a backstage member was writing down the answers. When the box came down, a man brought a table but it was very thick. Inside the table there would have been a slot that opens where the sheet is placed inside. If you saw it, the magician positioned the box In a certain place so it was easy to access the paper. Once his hand was inside the box, the containers lid was open so he quickly put the paper in the container and it had an easy close system. Once he took his hand out, you can see the paper was folded. It had to be like that so they can fit it into the table slot, so they just went with it and did it one by one to show that it was part of the trick. At the end of the trick, he never moved the box because the hatch was still open. That is the explanation to the magic trick. Its sooo easy. *sighs* I wish I can see a magic trick which I don't understand :(

    Watch his right hand thumb just after 3:13. He straightens the box on the special table rolled out to him and then does something with his right hand thumb to get the paper to go from the table into his box. If you look closely you can see some sort of lever that he's flicking with his right hand thumb. I don't know the mechanics of this but the paper has to be coming from the table.

      Jerry Chen What would the key in his pocket have to do with that scenario? What Travis Paddock was clearly saying was that the box has a false bottom through which the paper gets pushed into the box from the trick table. The key in his pocket is entirely irrelevant.

    • @XxBlueChewxX
      @XxBlueChewxX Před 10 lety +8

      Edi Javoric either way there is no way that is how the trick is done because the table the box is sitting on isn't wide enough to fit the tube that the tweet was in so the tweet had to be in there prior to being set down onto the table. If somebody doesn't 100% know how the trick is done then honestly shut up because it's annoying when people automatically think they are correct.

    • @ejavoric
      @ejavoric Před 10 lety +4

      XxBlueChewxX Yeah I hear ya. I thought that too. I don't claim to know how its done. I have no idea, and I enjoy that I don't. But it would be possible that the tube was in the box the whole time, and the paper was the only thing pushed through the table, into the box, and into the tube. He then seals the note in the tube as he's getting it out and the rest is simple. There's a good chance that's not it, but I can't think of a different way, as everything was pretty clearly random and the note had to be written by someone between the audience suggestions and him opening the box. The table really is the only link between the box and anyone who could have written the note out-of-view.

    • @ericlampham
      @ericlampham Před 10 lety

      Edi Javoric Agreed, though, I don't know the exact mechanics. Logic must be used. Ask why he has to "click" "push" something after he sets the box on the "flat" table that is delivered. Small trap doors and slots are easy mechanics. But watch David Copperfield's version --- so clean.

    the table moves for no apparent reason at 3:20. Once he places the box on the table, theres some kind of trap door, the piece of paper is shoved in (why the table moves because someone is forcing something in there), not the plastic tube inside the box, its already there. theres someone under the stage, reason why it was repositioned.

      @PACXS Před 10 lety +1

      Usually the first assumption magicians make with a trick like this is that he has a marker stuck on his thumb. And then writes the answer on the back.
      So when this is what I'm expecting to happen, I only have to check if this is how he could have done it this time ... and yes, easily. He held the paper in his own hands for a long time. And very slowly flipped over each new part. Could have easily written each single word before flipping it over.
      Second magician I see on this show, and both times the tricks were 'classic' tricks with the same method as has been done over and over.

    The flask is bendable. The plastic flask is kept on the table, squished inside of it, along with the answers inside of it already written by an assistant. If you can notice, his hand goes a lot inside the box then it can. The only thing that was probably there in the box was the lid to the flask. Once he removes the flask from the table, it becomes a cylindrical shape again. Between 3:24 and 3:28 you can notice him trying to put the lid on the box. I'm pretty sure that's how it's done after I checked the net and other things.

    • @KomalMuthyalu

      Note that anyone who has done this trick has kept the box on something, a ladder or a table that can easily squeeze a plastic flask inside of it. There is nothing written on the ball, some of the people chosen don't even look like they are reading anything on the ball.

    The tweet wasn't in the box, but in the table he put it on (the table only came up to the stage AFTER the tweet was made up by the audience). When he put the box on the table, a trick mechanism shot the piece of paper into the glass tube through a door in the bottom of the box. If he had written the tweet before, neither the glass tube inside the box nor the table would have been needed.
    I've seen both the trick and the explanation quiet some time ago, then it was on a german magician show.

    so basically as he was opening it, you can see he presses something on his right corner and sets the keys down really fast allowing something on the table the person brought out to get inside the bottom of the box. The person who brought out the table probably was writing what the people were saying backstage and put the paper inside the table before he brought it out. Both the table and the box must be rigged with something.

  • @leddyb
    @leddyb Před 10 lety

    Here is what I think. the bottom of the box is spring loaded to open toward the inside. When he flips the switch, which you can clearly see him do, the bottom of the box opens, either toward him or away from him. (this is why he has Ellen stand on the other side of the box, so she can't see the bottom) When the bottom opens, it pulls the table top up with it, probably using magnets. this is why he has to adjust the box to exactly the right place before he opens it. the container appears solid, but it could have been collapsible, the ends folding down and the tube stretching. this is why he handles it so gently. This would allow the guy bringing the table to write all the lines on a pre-folded paper and put it in the table right before he brings it out. it looks like things were moving a little too quickly, since the last line is rushed.
