Higher cadence activates the core, and lessens any asymmetrical or lazy inefficient tendencies. A nervous system trained for high cadence can easily grind a lower cadence but not the other way around.

6:26 "Now, the rules are you can't follow in the slipstream..." 6:02 - 6:20 Lance is in Ullrich's slipstream." That is 18 seconds of less wind resistance Lance had.

It wasn't "all-drug". Just the "top" losers being petty fucks and using doping to get way above the actual level of the cycling field. Lance didn't win shit fair and square. After everything is said and done, Lance didn't actually win fucking anything. He's just a small part of a group of losers who were never top-tier cyclists, so they decided to cheat. Fuck Lance and every other fuck who did it.
1:38 "He only wants to wear the yellow jersey when he actually feels that he deserved it." HAHAHAHA All joking aside though, Armstrong, doped to the gills, was still 2 seconds slower than Zabriskie. So, I want what Zabriskie is taking. Armstrong was using a deeper front wheel than Ulrich, so that is going to account for more than a few seconds over that distance.

Ulrich just grinding away. That cadence looks painful.
I remember my dad telling me how I had to spin to win (I was a teenager in this era, doing triathlons). He swore it was Armstrong's cadence that was winning him the tours...
Higher cadence activates the core, and lessens any asymmetrical or lazy inefficient tendencies. A nervous system trained for high cadence can easily grind a lower cadence but not the other way around.
sillyak
Your dad was right. It’s why some people train on fixies.
You're not gonna go fast because your cadence is high... your cadence is gonna be high because you're going fast. Ulrichs cadence was lower than Lance's because he was going a lot slower but if you look at ulrich in 1997 or 2003 you can see his cadence is alot higher than here
@@abone2pick Lol no.. lower cadence can still go faster than someone with a high cadence
@@eDDeboo yeah but that's only relevant to the person you trying to ride against. I'm talking about the individual himself will have higher cadance than himself the faster he goes
anyone else miss the doping days?
because nobody is doping in 2016...
Wait so youre saying they arent doping now?
who says they are over?
The majority of the peloton are doped.
How very scientific of you.
This is brilliant good perfermance one of best I ever seen top on condition.
Sheeesh 16 yrs ago this is a good classic video
Lance looks like a machine here!
He was half bionic at the time so yeah
not sure I would say half..partial maybe and how can we really know who else was fiddling with the same cheats? Lance seems to have fallen due to his teamates and he was the largest target but I dont believe for one second he was alone in doing it. @@frits8986

king of DOPE stage.
"He wants to go out on a high" 🧐
Lance was the best blood doper in the tour. He was totally driven to win. Everyone was doping. He had to survive, he did and was a total prick about it. He lied repeatedly, used his money to scare people from fear of lawsuits, basically buying their silence.
He is the number 1
They were all DOPED. So he wins clearly!
Moronic logic.
@@44thenazz he was quoting Ullrich
Not when that team had the help of michaela Ferrari. That makes it an uneven playing field.
Dope video dude!!
Hello from Paris,
you're right, but not all the French hates Lance, Ill be cheering him today at the Champs Elysees, as I did for his 7 wins, hes a great fighter.
How you like him now?
Ulrich had had a crash when riding the course. If I remember correctly , he went through the rear window of a car.
Dope time trial, bro!
Absolutely juiced 💪🏻
6:26 "Now, the rules are you can't follow in the slipstream..."
6:02 - 6:20 Lance is in Ullrich's slipstream."
That is 18 seconds of less wind resistance Lance had.
Casualguy 939 yeah I thought so too
You can catch in the slipstream but if you are caught you cant follow
Drafting was for 5 secs, not more.
Oh for God's sake! RICHARD or is it DICK? He passed him and caught him you idiot.
He won the all-drug tour fair and square. Not to appear inconsistent with their rules of compliance, the International Cyling federation reawarded Lance's first place finishes to 16th, 17th, 21st, 25th, 30th, 32nd, and the 35th place finishers.
Fantastic !!!
Doping or not, this was so enjoyable to watch 🙌🙌
6:13 "A carrot or a strawberry in front a donkey" Phil and Paul were doped
1:38 "He only wants to wear the yellow jersey when he actually feels that he deserved it." HAHAHAHA
All joking aside though, Armstrong, doped to the gills, was still 2 seconds slower than Zabriskie. So, I want what Zabriskie is taking.
Armstrong was using a deeper front wheel than Ulrich, so that is going to account for more than a few seconds over that distance.
@Lee Shackelford I believe my comment shows that all of those fuckers were doping. So fuck you and your "fuck you." Are you really that stupid to not see that?
That ride is dope!
This is DOPE
Lance is the man
He was the most famous athlete at his time.
Lance Armstrong, best we have seen so far...
Madonna che frequenza! Lance numero 1. A certi livelli nessuno è pulito
cant believe I've won the same number of tour de frances as this guy.
I was there that day. Traveled to France with what few dollars I could save. Traveled by train and backpack. I still have fond memories of his 7 tour wins, and I still do not regret a thing. He has done great things for the fight against cancer, and I we should all be grateful for that.
And also for educating people about how drugs can help you in your daily life.
augnkn93043 ya big Pharos loved him. Got all of America on drugs, no wonder they are the dumbest race on the planet
Thats DOPE
Advantages and disadvantages cannot be confused, this world is not black or white. We need to absorb the positive meaning of one thing, negative as a warning.
Doping
Armstrong’s effort was totally DOPE.
Fantastic!!!!!
Another video way back 14 years ago. I'll be honest i didn't search for this . Anywayss stafe safe
No one searched for this
that cadence thoughhhhh
Peak doping at its best. Amazing rider, committed to the sport completely.

Gracias a Dios por los dones que le diste a lance Armstrong. Cuando competía en los triatlón era bueno en todo.

Watching a legendary champion again... Thank you. Magnificent

TT aero positions have come a long way since '05
Who looked at Ulrich hands down position and thought "That make sense"
EPO POWER
Epo power means that pro cyclists have unhuman endurance. No one wants to see them struggling everyone loves seeing freaks on roads. Who else would help you put 7 watts per kilo for 30 minutes after 5 hour race? pro cycling = having balls to risk your health by doping for million dollar contract
Ultramarathon Power Epo seems to have been his drug of choice. He doesnt Physically seem to have taken much else to make him bigger
Stans Annonymous EPO just helps you recover and give you maybe 5-10 percent more oxygen uptake in muscles on a good day. It doesn't make go from a coach potato to an elite athlete. You still have to be extremely talented and gifted physically.
TheRebuilt1
talent=0.3 %. hard work 99.7%.
Haha, no surprise to see you here DR. :-) You trained with him as a cyclist-what is Armstrong like as a person? he's criticised as being arrogant and an asshole. Did he come across like that to you? just curious to know.
The GOAT, idc if he was used as a scapegoat, remember at this time, doping isn't as good as it is today.
My dad has a trek speedconcept from this production year😊
@C8Shay
Well, at the end of the video it shows that Armstrong's average speed was 54.59 kph. If you convert that to mph you get 33.9 mph, and he sustained that speed for 20 minutes. So I'd say they are very fast.
Great rider

Electric motor and battery weights are not worth the advantage they would bring.

Watch this and you will start to realize that mechanical doping is possible and had happened yet in professionell cycling.
@@alicangul2603 Anything helps, no matter the battery or motor. Anything will give you that edge over the competition ya know so even a lil 100w motor, 12ah 24v system will feel like a serious boost.
