Shin Godzilla was the best thing that happened to Goezilla Universe, then came Minus One Godzilla, the best Godzilla Movie IMO.
It actually makes more sense for Godzilla to be a destroyer, he was literally meant to be the embodiment of an atomic bomb. He is technically destruction incarnate and fundamentally SHOULD hate humanity and all other life.
However i like the way they turned it around, the very horror humanity created being used for protection and safety is an interesting concept. The idea of the unimaginably powerful still finding empathy and kindness for us DESPITE the horrors we've invented.
When you think about it, it says alot about Godzilla (as a character) that he's so powerful and destructive yet usually comes out the hero. Its like if nature itself had a sweet spot for humanity.
I think legendary pictures got it perfectly. Godzilla remains pretty docile towards humans so long as humanity doesnt poke at nature in any disruptive way. He's simply an incredibly intelligent animal with a very high level of understanding, he's not some force, hes a living thing that thinks and reacts to his environment.
Did you know… the Original 1998 Zilla came back in the Godzilla The Animated Series as a Cyborg thanks to Aliens. When the Two Zillas meet the Alien took control over Zilla Jr. After being freed Jr. would destroy Cyber Zilla.
That I already know because I have both seen the 1998 film and its complete animated series sequel and I have them on DVD to prove it.

As someone very passionate about the Heisei series I would say this video could've been better detailed. I will simply address Godzilla vs. Biollante since it is my favorite.
- Instead of saying the scientist's daughter died in a freak accident, I would say while working in Saradia, a terrorist bombing occured. Ruining the cells and killing the daughter. The scientist wanting to preserve his daughter, combined the genetic information of his daughter and her roses.
- The scientist later worked with Godzilla cells again leading to the genetic combination of Godzilla with the roses and the daughter resulting in Biollante.
- The volcano is actually blown up by an organization called Bio-major as an attempt at blackmail to get Godzilla cells
- Godzilla and Biollante actually have two conflict. The first in her plant form which is defeated turning into spore. Eventually the spore become her beast form. When the beast form is defeated it transforms into spore which go into space possibly becoming SpaceGodzilla
Some final thought. I feel like more movies from the Heisei series could have been included. Although he does perform some hero like actions he was always a villian although he stopped bigger threats.
@@joshuagrimstad2627 hi dude how are you
You forgot Godzilla Minus One.
I’d be happy with a Shin sequel
Minus one I can’t wait to see, but I feel like the depth Shin would have went to
Did I miss minus 1?
Showa Godzilla also a hero defeated Mechagodzilla the final villain
Earth Godzilla was dope from that 3 part Anime
King Ghidorah is more dopier than Earth Godzilla in the 3 part anime.
So, you forgot Ghidrah, the three-headed Monster. Granted, Godzilla became a protagonist at the end of the movie. Not to mention you didn't include Minus One.
If we only had Poke'balls back then lol!
I really liked godzilla 1998.. I watched it so many times (I know everyone else hates it)
Honestly I like Godzilla better as a hero, because Godzilla being the villain truly gives him the bad vibes and thus gives Godzilla a very, very bad name.
What I don't understand:
Why does Godzilla always Attack Japan? The USA threw the bombs which transformed him.
💯 Exactly
Well the simple answer would be it’s a movie made by Japan. It’s the same as why monsters in American movies always attacks the USA or make the USA as their primary location to attack.
There’s a canonical answer to your question but it’ll be long and lemme know if you wanna know.
Godzilla 1998 isn’t Godzilla 😡
