Sorry so late to answer. Uruguay was not only the first country to recognize the state of Israel, but also the promoter of it's creation. The Jewish community in Uruguay was very well received due to the great secularism of which it is characterized. They were welcomed in Uruguay, as Germans in Argentina and Chile...

That simulator was incredible. I would absolutely LOVE to get my hands on one of those. I'm a pretty decent driver... does that translate to being able to fly a plane? Probably not even close, but I would love to see how I'd do. 😊😊

Kara and Nate I loved it! It's not easy huh? LOL! I can't remember if I have invited you but if you guys come through Orlando let me know ahead of time and I'll get you in our Simulator. We like to call it our $15 million video game! It's a full motion sim and we qualify pilots to fly aircraft using them. You're very welcome to come and you'll have a great time!

+Megan E I don't carry one often, travel days I keep my necessities in my back pack zipper. But I have a small brown leather cross body purse that I keep flat at the bottom of my suitcase that I carry when I don't have pockets and need to put my phone, chapstick, and camera battery in :)

So many Jews were able to escape from Germany as Uruguay was very sympathetic to the plight of the Jews during the Nazi regime in the thirties and forties. Including my great aunt and uncle who traveled from Germany with Uruguayan visas in their passports. The Uruguayan Embassy in Germany was very sympathetic to the plight of the Jews and my family made beautiful lives in Montevideo.

I love your videos guys and they are very informative on all the places you are travelling to around the world. I'm not usually critical but there is always one point or another where Kara turns her voice into a 5 or 6 year old girly voice. Sorry, but it does get a tad annoying in quite a few of your vlogs. You seem to be an extremely smart young lady. Just a little suggestion and I hope you don't take it personally, it just seems a little fake and phoney when you turn that voice on. Not so much in this video.
But be careful in Montevideo the next time, I saw them too distracted, it is not like before, it is not a very safe city nowadays !!!!
