- A day at the woodcock with my springer spaniels. The day started off dry but soon changed to rain and wind making for an interesting day. The retrieves the dog got on some of the birds were very good but to see him recover the last bird was incredible as i had given up hope of finding it. I had the camera off when i seen trigger coming out behind me with the bird it truly was a day to remember. The camera is a Gopro hero 7 black settings 1080p 50fps on Linear Fov

Brilliant retrieve as you said "retrieve of the season" you have 2 of the best woodcock dogs I could watch them work all day , great video thank you for posting

Great shooting, first of your videos I've seen. I just got into hunting in Denmark which is primary with shotguns aswell for Woodcock, pheasant, hare, fox, roe. Just shot my first animal today, a nice hare.

Wayne, brilliant video, outstanding brace of Springers. Are they litter mates? They work so well together. As a dog less Woodcock and Grouse hunter in New England I appreciate the thick cover, the comments while working through it and your expletives on misses. Would love to do an Ireland upland hunt some day. Love your “super sized” Woodies! Thanks for sharing.
