Finally got the hang of shooting before the patch, Update comes out and now I’m the brick king 🔥
As someone that uses a Titan 2. I can confirm they are changing the timing of your same jumpshot mid game and every game the timing is up to 20 to 40 ms different.
I respect your honesty.
The window should fluctuate pending on how good your shot is.. Ex: a 90 3pt or midrange should have a bigger window than someone with a 75 middy or 3 ball.... just that simple....
It use to be like that but the community was complaining that shooting was too easy or too many “whites” were going in
@Peprahism yes whites where going on alot but now whites aren't going in not to mention the contests are completely off not to mention u need a magnified glass to see the green window... the cue of the jumpshot should just be the natural flick of the wrist not completely the jump or looking at the feet.. it is a quite learning curve but at the end of the day I feel these constant changes every year and during the year are generally done on purpose because these changes aren't needed annually.
They should’ve left the green window and make us just miss whites
A 75 is not a bad three you should be able to shoot at a good rate but 70 below I understand
@TYMAN358 it's not bad, but to me it just depends on your play style and your position on the court.. A sharpshooter definitely not ginhave a 75 3ball just like a slasher is not gonna have a 75 or 80 dunk rating... Bit at the end of the day, the game is inconsistent annually and it's just a sports game... Thats what is crazy to me

Wang tried to blame latency as if none of us play MyCareer games too. My shot changed EVERYWHERE even solo where there isn’t latency. Make THAT make sense.
I can attest to this. All I play is career and the past 2 days have made me not even want to touch the game now because everything is broken. Defense, dribbling, shooting, speed, all feels different and I aint trippin cause before I even found out there was a patch I was questioning wtf was going on
This game is ridiculous I hate how the shooting is this year like why do we gotta have some complicated shit? Can we just get a normal game 2k be bugging man frfr shit is sad.
Your shooting attribute should determine your timing and defense immunity grade, not your base. You solve the “meta jump shot” with doing that. Also allows more diversity when players want to use different jumpers. Your release speed shouldn’t adjust your base speed as well. It should only affect your release speed of the two blends you choose. All this seems broken and 2k did a horrible job of integrating these features. Idk who asked for the “jumpshot cue” but it seems unnecessary. Been playing 2k since 2k10 and I’ve never felt like i needed 2k to decide my release cue. That’s the whole point of the jumpshot creator, create your OWN jumper.
Facts bra, can’t even the use the jumpers that I actually like. Have to use the “best base and release” just to compete.

They fixed latency so everyone has to adjust to the timing that’s why everything seems quicker w shooting - I just slowed my shot speed a notch and I been good

That’s a good tip but I’ve noticed the latency still fluctuates quite a bit and there are times when it feels like there is no green window/release cue for your shot. I’ve practiced this while shooting wide open in the park.
@@theeAListeryea there has to be times it takes the window away. I’ve noticed twice since grinding badges at sunset then doing team training about half way through a shooting drill I can’t green anymore when that’s never been the case before. It won’t let me green another jumper for the rest of the practices either. Shit makes no sense to me. 92 3pt too. After patch this started
There is no way I have a 94 3pt ball and I can’t hit a wide open shot. Even with badges my green meter is dam near invisible smh they definitely messed up shooting even if they say they didnt
It’s the fact that we struggle to shooting different game modes. For example, I’ll hit every shot in park but if I go to the theater or Pro-Am, I miss majority of my shots. If not every shot. And I’m a casual not a sweat or a try hard.
I dnt think its deleting the jump shot is helping anything other then placebo effect I personally think this game has a crazy snow ball effect if u start off shooting good you’ll be okay until u do something to mess up and if u continue to do bad shots ya green windows becomes faster or slower as if ur jump shot cue is changing mid game
I was shooting good as hell up until the last patch. I have hella badges and now I can't green shots that I couldn't miss pre patch. Something definitely changed inadvertently
Made a new build just before the patch and was shooting 60% the first 2 days with that build. Once the patch dropped ive been building the empire state brick by brick. I get that they want ahooting to be harder and i dont disagree but whos bright idea was it to have a 15ms green window when most games fluctuate between 10-100 ms latency? Basically need to have A+ internet connection or get lucky to have consistency in your shot.
Boy I took a thousand shots EVERYWHERE park, rec, anti, idgaf where I shot at and I was there…hell I even shot at Chris Barkley gym…my guy listen to me…ima a rec player and I understand got a higher difficulty and stuff but one thing for sure I noticed! EVERY new game I play my green spot is CHANGING …is this latency?? My remote plugged in, my internet is only set on the game no other devices on my WiFi I promise, I got 100mbps bandwidth on my internet and bro…why is my visual cue changing every game??? I can’t even shoot with sharp take over!

I mean sure.. but all you have to do is change to release or find your new release point… I keep mine at 4 of 4 regardless.. but it took a couple days but I watched my jumper every time I shot and it def changed the release point but I can def shoot fine still
Idc about the jump shots. The real problem with the game is everyone creates the same stupid builds. Every pro am team consists of a "picking rebounder", "defensive corner sitter", and "runaround dribbling 3pt shooting rat". It's SUPER annoying. That box score was another clear example

I don’t know why we as consumers have to be the game testers for 2k every damn year, it’s like one person or a couple developers work in that damn company we give this company our money and we deal with the same BS EVERY YEAR ON YEAR like 2k needs to redevelop a new system because we see the same BS from a mile away

All I know is that since this latest patch I'm lagging every game. My junk was buttery smooth before this patch and now it's almost unplayable 🤦♂️
i slowed my release speed down and it feel’s easier to green
2K23 was packed a bit more than it has been since launch. I think people stopped playing 24 because of the badge reset bug.

They also changed the jump shot requirements too. My original jump shot I can't use anymore because the requirements to equip it is higher now 😡
jump shot suggestion below w my percentages: i have two builds. sg (6'6" 3&D) & sf (6'9" 3 lvl threat). sg i'm shooting 59% fg & 56% 3pt. my sf i'm shooting 78% fg & 64% 3pt. my sf has a higher middy & lower 3pt compared to my sg. i use the same jump shot both. it's worked before and after update. didn't have to delete & recreate. try it

@@ZayG0tN3xt i use Kobe base, but try putting troy brown Jr on one of your releases. It's got a big green window as far as releases go it's one of the highest rated on 2k labs

Deleting your jumpshot and remaking it is a real thing , it came out 2k17 or 18 I think it was ! It’s crazy . 2k is the most weirdest broken game ever ! It’s wild .. terrible smh
To me A+ speed shots are too slow so I equip even faster releases and then it breaks the shooting animation so idk 😂
Not only did my shooting got worse but my top tier badges don’t even level up
I use release timing and I go off visual cue. I can say with the highest level of candor that shooting has been consistent for me since release at all three levels, layups, mids and threes. That release w/visual cue is undefeated for me

Tbh the whole logic is broken. I am a 3 level threat, playing solo rec mostly. My game style is to score on fast breaks, score on backdoors, attacking the rim most of the time, BUT: I have a 81 3PT, thought in the beginning, I would use this as an efficient way to score on open 3s from the corner, just 2-3 shots per game if I am not attacking the rim. In 2K24, forget that! No way you can score consistent 3s with only 2-3 attempts per game, which means you gonna loose for example the Open Looks badge just after 3-4 games, addig even less chance to hit a three on the next games. Why would I need those 81 3 then? It is useless. You cannot keep your badge level of shooting and dunking at the same time, not to mention fancy layups like two steps, floter game, acrobat. The whole game is broken with the badge regression and the thrash shooting timing, delay or whatever. Your game style is limited this year.
You’re not wrong but that’s why I play a few games of MyCareer between sessions of Rec & Park to keep my badges from fully regressing.
Idk about gameplay outside of Rec but I found a jumpshot and I’m shooting way better. It’s a drastic change in the good for me
My guess is when the new season releases they’ll add a little fix in there and not say anything so they don’t gotta take fault! 🤷🏾♂️

I'm shooting about 65% from 3 post patch. I lowered my shot to 3/4 speed, made sure my defense immunity was high (A+), and have a distinctive visual cue I can easily see. Result = GREEEN BEAAAMMMMM.
How do y'all calculate these percentages y'all throw out?

TBH, my shooting has been the same before or after the patch. Mid 28-33% 3pt. My 3pts mid 70’s and I shoot some great gms and some games trash. I am not complaining because it keep the sweats in check. If NBA players are not averaging 60% from 3’s...then why 2K players deserve more...just my opinion.

3 in the park and rec. When I use the meter, the green window is so small it's crazy and when I turn it off, it's so inconsistent, It's like im still shooting with the meter on. It's insane how bad it is. I wish they would just bring back vibrations like 20 had so we know when we actually need to release our jump shot because this "visual timing" shit isn't working

I’ve been playing 2K since 2K15 and I’ve always thought 2K18 and 21 was one of the worst 2Ks of all time, but I’m starting to think 24 might’ve beat that record. I’ve seen more Zen users than you could imagine cheese on 2K24. if you plug in any auto-green device on 2K, it should be automatic, permanent ban right on the spot.
