  • In this episode, I talk with Kenzie Bongiorno of KB Swim about what it's like to run her swimwear company.
    Kenzie opens up about how she got started with her business when she was 19, what made her start taking it more seriously, and some of the biggest milestones (and mistakes) she's made on her entrepreneurial journey so far.
    I love our candid discussion about influencer marketing, building your personal brand, and grappling with the challenges of owning a business. I hope you all enjoy the show!

    I love how badly she did in the beginning but still kept going. It makes starting a business more approachable because most people don't take off immediately without making any mistakes.

    This is such a great interview! Thank you Kenzie for being so transparent in your answers. I can totally relate to a lot of what she was saying since I too have created my swimwear brand from the ground up and its refreshing hearing about some of the same struggles. Kevin, you had so many great insightful questions:) Keep up the good work!

      Hi, Merve. I originally included her social media and contact info, but we didn't anticipate that she would get so many inquiries. We've decided to leave the video up but I've removed her information as a courtesy to her.

      @@kevintitus what do you mean as a courtesy to her? Seems like leaving up her info is more a courtesy to her and to us who want to know

    • @kevintitus

      Margaret R Johnson She specifically asked to have her information removed. Hence the courtesy.

    This woman is for sure a plus size herself- yet, her site has no plus size suits available and also does not have XS (only s-L) hmmm

      Adriana Silva weird right? So then I checked out her insta @kenziebongiorno and turns out she’s not plus size at all... I’m super confused.

    • @AdrianaSilva-iw8ym
      @AdrianaSilva-iw8ym Před 5 lety +1

      Oh okay. Well maybe I was wrong- she does seem super fit at the waist I guess but this video just shows her thigh and I guess I assumed. Anyway, I usually buy an XL and an XS (usually matching for my daughter and I) If she had those sizes we would’ve def tried her brand.

      @@SandraSilva-ny2tn I'd HIGHLY (Life changing!! And take my word, I studied in Paris and now have a brand) Sucessful Fashion Designer podcast/blog, Fashion Founder Me (started her brand the wrong way, blogs about how to do it) Zoe Hong youtube channel (AMAZING) and for business (cannot stress this enough, every person going into online sales MUST TAKE THIS COURSE, it will be best investment of your life, seriously, although I'm not sure of your goals..) Foundr magazine's course Start and Scale.
      This is everything a fashion designer will need on top of determination, smart work, and money smarts. Cheers!
