@@roserahaman3418 zh is basically the sound americans make when they pronounce 'r' in paper. The 'l' is written because some people pronounce it as tamil and some do as tamizh. This doesnt mean all 'l' can be replaced with 'zh' or vice versa but the original is only tamizh. As the people sometimes cannot pronounce 'zh' they make the 'l' sound

The best way to enjoy the Tamil dosai is
1.Forget all table manners
2.Throw away the spoons and forks
3.Pour the sambhar and all available chutneys on dosai and let all side dishes get mixed .
4.Have some chutney podi mixed with gingely oil at one side.
5.Have one egg dosai or onion dosai in between.
6. End your food with an Halfboil.

ayyo amma, who told you mixing chutney with sambar is a good idea??? eat chutney, sambar, pickles, everything separately. pouring stuff on dosai makes it soggy. It's not a good idea, especially if the dosai is very large. if you want, the piece you tore off can be dipped into verious sides, but NEVER EVER EVVERRRR pour liquids on a dosai. It becomes a soggy mushy horrible abomination. ughhh

I wasn't familiar with dosa before watching this video. However, from what I gather from this video, isn't it just plain giant pancake that is to be eaten with other side dishes? If so, then this video is valid.

Holden Lưu regarding the gold leaf comment: yes, that sounds like an appropriate approach; if you’re familiar with 5 star or modernist cuisine or even seen the kind of videos buzzfeed in America has made about pizza, etc. Also, Indians already use silver leaf to decorate sweets. Not to forget, Dosa can be made with different ingredients. Different quality of the same ingredients(locally grown, organic, etc)
yashrg I am sorry, but as pointed out by many worth it fans, gold leaves are ironically the cheapest way to make a dish more expensive.
Asides from aesthetic and monetary values, it adds no depth nor dimension to a dish. As far as I know, it barely has any taste, with no textures as it will almost always melt when in contact with any warm dish and we can't even digest it.
I want the show to showcase expensive dishes that is costly for its uniqueness and not dishes that exists solely for the sake of unnecessary luxury.
