I COMPLETELY AGREE!!! Not even ONCE did I EVER tell my 4 year old son that there was no monsters. He would come out the room and come see me and my wife and say that there was monsters in his room. We KNEW are house was haunted. ALL hauntings.. are demons. Period. I would go in there with him and tell Him.. "Aww sweetie.. you don't have to worry about the monsters. You have Jesus! If you see a monster.. you say.. in the Name of Jesus go away! And those monsters will be like.. ohhh nooo!!! He's got Jesus!!! And they will just run away! They fear Jesus. They are scared of him!". Then I might go in there and rub his back till he fell asleep. I never lied to my child. Nor did I lie and tell him any of that rubbish about santa and the Easter bunny.

As someone who has had to deal with that, my parents presented other situations that were much more heartbreaking and defeating than this.
The first time I asked my mother what she wanted for mother's day because I finally had a job to get her something that wasn't some homemade POS.
Her response was "Why? You've never worried about it before. If you really want to get me something, the best mother's day gift I could have from you would be to not have to see your face for the rest of the day." That was what I got for attempting to improve our lack of relationship. I no longer consider her family.
Reminds me of when an acquaintance called 911 bc her dad was unconscious from diabetic complications, and the 911 operator didn't believe her and even scolded her. Meanwhile, her dad passed away in front of her. :-(
As a kid I used to see dark shadows floating above my bed at night every time I used to spend the night at my aunt’s place. Once I shared that room with my very old great grandma and noticed she could see those shadows too - she turned to me and said “if you don’t acknowledge them - they will leave you alone” - that was very scary! 😬

Jerry James - Yep she did! No BS - I have always seen those shadows in that old house and I always follow my great grandma’s advice - no acknowledging them at all.
Sana Hassan - it’s 100% real - I assure you. There was always a lot of bad energy in one particular room as a kid I always felt uneasy and still do as a grown woman. No one lives in that house now - it’s well taken care of - but the strange thing is my aunt has not been able to sell this property to anyone - the moment they walk in they feel the bad juju and they do not want to stay there - 15 yrs no takers yet.
Carl and Keith Johnson are now demonologists who now help families dealing with this. I didn’t know there back story, which led them to becoming demonologists, I’m glad I found this episode.
I'm sure , they would be hired by some chegg tutor . Chegg tutors are the ones worst affected by demons (real or imaginary) .

Even though I use one, it isn't for children. there is a lot of prep to protect. communicating with the spirit side is interesting, but it isn't a game and protection needs to be in place. Not for children.

Only certain people are equipped to deal with the spirit world on this plane. They can tell the difference between something nefarious and something benign. It isn't for just anyone to delve into. In the 70's, in Rhode Island where this story takes place, myself and about six of my girlfriends, as teenagers, would often have weekend sleepovers in my fully finished basement, and after my parents fell asleep, we would light candles, do seances and incantations and the Ouija board all the time. We would even attempt to levitate each other and sometimes we even thought we did it. It was so spooky and so much fun, I have fond memories. I actually think I had maybe asked for an Ouija Board for Xmas and my mom, who was a nurse, bought it, one of the originals. She had no clue. If it was on my Xmas list, she got it. I had it for awhile and through many sleepovers. THEN, one day I came home from school to find the Ouija box shoved in the garbage can on the front lawn. I started to ask my mom and she snapped, "I don't EVER want to see that in this house EVER AGAIN, do you understand me???" I was so surprised but she would not speak of it further and that was that. Thinking back, I'm lucky we didn't summon things in that house because we sure as heck tried. I am 61 now and my mom is 87 and very much alive and well and I really must ask her about that day and what happened that prompted her to throw it in the trash so suddenly. I wonder if she went downstairs and TRIED it and....I'm going to ask her all these years later!

My ex and her friend whom visited and stayed with us frequently use to play around with a ouija board. Seeking lottery numbers, relationship stuff and I told them something gonna get them. I knew I recognized the twins! So interesting to get to hear another investigative team's background information, how & why they got into the field. So sad how parents used to instantly dismiss anything a child said back then! I'm forever grateful to the adults who did listen & believed me... Ironically the first adult to believe me and offer any help that was not a family member was Lorraine Warren. She was so very kind and motherly, my heart broke to hear of her passing. May she rest in peace with her husband surrounded by all of the animals she dearly loved over her lifetime. She made quite an impression upon me as a child looking for answers and help.

My mothers old house used to have a creepy vibe. Lots of feelings of being watched, sounds and according to my sister I was sleep walking sitting in the middle of one of the empty rooms, something I hadn't done before or since. Our parents told us we were crazy but about 5-6 years later when my mom left she finally told us an old woman had died previously upstairs. Felt so gaslighted

I lived in a haunted apartment for about 5-6 years. Things that happened there was sometimes terryfing until i wasnt afraid anymore. I even saw the guy who was taunting me. Also spoke with the lady that lived there berore us. She confirmed everything . The most creepy thing was at 11pm (every time it happened) i felt someone crawl in my bed -i felt the heaviness next to me on the mattress) and an arm wrap around me. When i turned on my back...i was alone. Scared me so much i slept in the living room a lot of times

My parents didn't react the way I wanted or believe me because in order to believe me they would have had to believe it was real. If it's real then it's something scary to deal with so ignoring it is easier. It never ends well when anyone ignores the paranormal.

The planchette swung to "yes" & at that moment a black form stood in a corner of the room! It REALLY scared me & I prayed to Jesus Christ to protect me from it & the form disappeared! That's why today I don't mess with them!!!

I do it all of the time. Just say your prayers before hand and demand that only the positive come though. We don't have to be afraid, just smart. This is called a communication board because you can use it for that, and evil doesn't have to be in the picture if one prepares. We are so afraid of what we don't understand.
It was funny to scare our friends and ourselves with that but it's true. Nothing ever happened to me or my friends either. I'm convinced it was the position our hand were in and/or someone pushing on the mobile that made it move. It played a huge part on why I don't believe in that stuff. As an experiment, try to play blinfolded. It won't work. The answers won't make any sense. It was demonstrated by many parapsychologist over the years, those are likely the most serious people in the field.

I lived in a haunted house in Australia on a main road called Boundary Road for 9 and half years as child coming through life.
Footsteps up the stairs as it was a double story home I am the eldest and my second eldest shared a room she was 10, I was 12 nothing was going on until about the time my sister turned 10 in October that year .
She saw a woman in black with her arms stretched out at the end of our bed as we shared a double bed .
I never saw this woman in black but I got smacked alot by dad as my sister woke up crying and dad thought I continually picked on her whilst she was asleep but my sister said no dad it's not my sister.
Thedoor in the room opposite mine opened and shut we didn't see it but we heard it came from upstairs and many more things happened we later found bones of a six month old baby behind a boarded up old fashioned fire place no longer used police and investigation came wasnt told anything when we asked about it .

During my high school days towards the end of the school term, some of the girls were playing with an ouija board. Something went wrong and one of the girls was screaming like no tomorrow and sent to the hospital. Last i heard, she’s still in the psychiatric ward for 20 over years

I did many spirit boards when a teenager......I lived with absolute fear for about 15 years I couldn’t even go to bed without being terrified it was horrible. I eventually stopped being scared and I very rarely feel anything anymore thankfully

Ouija boards were sold in childrens store such as ToyRUs. Very, very sad and disheartening. I remember seeing them in "black and pink boards", to attract the kids. I was furious that it is sold to our children. Absolutely pissed 😤 at the sight of them.
The Spiritual board has been around since the 1800's, probably earlier. Its history is far more revealing and scarier than the seance itself. Not a TOY. Its a Beacon to the other side,which you do not need to summon.

When i was in 7th grade (in the 60's) we did a spirit session where we all put our fingertips lightly on the edges of a card table and summoned a spirit. It answered us by tipping the table up on 2 legs and slamming it down once for yes and two for no. We only had our fingertips on that table, and it moved. Ever since then, i refused to ever do that again, or touch a ouija board even. Maybe someone in the group manipulated that table, but i didnt see evidence of it.

My parents went to the home of family friends for a cookout when I was a very small boy. For some reason the lady of the house brought out a Ouija board and asked me to join her. I'd never seen one, so she told me what to do. She asked it questions about people I didn't know. The oracle moved around as if by magic. She accused me of moving it, which of course I wasn't. After a couple of other questions she became very agitated and scared, again accusing me of moving it on purpose. This was absurd because I was so young, I had no idea as to even what the questions meant. She jumped up, grabbed the board and it was over. This was NEVER spoken about from that day forward. Very strange.

I actually learned what an Ouija Board was from watching A Haunting growing up and my request for one was swiftly shut down. Why? Because you NOT about to bring no evil spirits and entities into this house!! However I was brought up that spirits in general do exist, and they cannot harm you, only cause you to harm yourself.

In the 1970’s, a ouija board was all the rage. They were sold in the “ toy” department. My parents bought it for me. It was considered a fun game. All my friends had one. I had a really bad experience with one.
I appreciate watching this in the dark alone with my earbuds in and feeling like something is in the dark room watching me. It’s spooky. When I heard that second knock in the A Haunting episode my stomach dropped. That’s what it feels like to me like what that man said when he was a teenager that there’s eyes watching him. Why isn’t this on antenna 📺TV? How many series are there? 13 or more? I can’t get enough of this ❤A Haunting. It’s scary and believable especially when you’re familiar with ghosts and spirits like I am. Having two of our cats next to me is comforting.

25:45 One major thing I have noticed on every 1 of their spirit board sessions. Every time they play It they never close. I know it's a TV show, but if you don't close the board, you allow whatever you're talking to to come into your house, and it will stay there and more. You use the board more power. You will give it and if you don't close it every time it gets stronger. We keep boards are not something you just play with. That is one thing that I don't understand they are in the game Section at Walmart, but they can bring so much darkness. More than you can ever imagine or not want to imagine.😢
