I don't know but my guess is that Maraga was not compromised, maybe threatened. I seem to remember some people saying that Maraga was disappointed that Raila chose to skip the repeat election. I even remember Justice Mwilu, or her driver, being attacked. It may be more of a case of difference of opinions rather than compromise.
