I am hearing some comments seemingly from Corinne Suter. I quit as any kind of coach for her after she won the World Championship in Downhill. I have not been making comments about her. I have not out of spite specifically tried to help others beat her. In fact I have specifically avoided doing this. What I heard was that she was having trouble with her boyfriend. They had a bad argument. Then they patched things up a little later. I heard they decided they were in love with each other. Since I had been interested in Corinne as a possible future wife, I thought that was a good signal for me to get out of the picture. I did so. I feel fine about my actions. I heard she was threatening to sue me for not continuing as a coach type for her. However, we had no contract. She was not paying me. CONSIDERATION (usually money) is necessary to have a valid contract (oral or written). She had no possible lawsuit. I was not worried. Now I am hearing her year long coach was always her coach (perhaps her only coach). I gave her advice for a time. During that time, she won twice. She finished 2nd once. and she had one fairly high non-podium finish. That may have been because she went away from my advice that time. It looked like it. She can hardly claim I hurt her. If her coach is mad at her for taking any advice from me, he should have a thicker skin. He should be trying to do better in the future. There is still one more downhill and one more SQ at Lenzerheide. There are other events too. I am supposed to be at least a decent GS coach. Perhaps Corinne is mad because I am not around to coach her for that event. It is not one of her stronger ones. I have also already stated that I will not try to involve myself in any way in those two events. It seemed like it would be unfair to whomever I tried to help. At the end of the season there would be no chance to win later in reply. Also Corinne, Lara, and Sofia are contending for the Downhill season crown. It is very close. It did not seem like I should interfere in any way. Further Lara and Petra are contending for the overall season title. Again it did no seem I should interfere in another close race. I will likely stay very quiet during this time. I may give some advice to AJ Hurt and Nina O'Brien who have at least in the past been Tahoe types. They also both seem like they can improve a lot quickly. If I can, I would like to help them on their way. Katharina Huber and perhaps others indicated some interest in also getting my advice. Perhaps I will give her some. She seems like another young go getter. Next year is another year. I will likely be much busier. However, I am very much a fan of the Women's World Cup Ski Racing. I have enjoyed watching you this season. Hopefully the season will include events more local to me next year. Perhaps I will even manage be trimmer, although local rumors here say I should not be letting that impede me.
