I was spending 4 to 5 hours per blowtorch, and now I get one done in 93 seconds about. This gives me much more time for singles' clubs and the dating scene. Thank you.
Came for the tips as a novice tier, stayed for the hilarious commentary. Love it!
Got to love my boy James sense of humor. You need to go fish with him if you have not had the pleasure. He is a great guide in Northern NM and Southern CO, based out to Taos Fly Shop. Just make sure you tell him Chris recommended him! Ask him how we crushed it with this fly...
Love how you set up your hackle!
Thank you for demonstrating that you don't need to purchase some specialized clips to do that with cdc
Nice and simple - like it! Tie most of my collars with dubbing loops - that way I can use up all those feathers that are too large for anything and still have the exact length and coverage I want. Cheers, Hank
When homie said, when you stare at your fly box in the middle of the night like a psychopath. I felt like he was looking directly at me 🤣.
😂
Thanks for the CDC dubbing loop trick - smart!
Nice job. Keep it real. It works in several colors as long as you match the tail and hot spot. Red, orange and chartreuse are killer patterns. Blue and shades of blue work great in the winter.
Just found your channel and it's exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks man!
Thank you! Really appreciate the kind words. Finishing up next weeks video right now .
Lol I loved this. Very funny but well tied. Really enjoyed it. Thanks for teaching me how to tie the "McDouble" Blow Torch :)
Sweet, will have to try this on the San Juan river. Dig the collar! Thanks and keep sharing your ties.
"If you have like 270° go home" 😂
I'm one of the 10...dont worry they'll catch on
I saw it. It was wonderful.
Of course now, when I tie my go to flies, I look to see if you've tied them first. Sure enough, you've tied an easier version of the blow torch! Do you ever use orange for the collar and tag?
Yep! All the time, love that color combo
What does this fly imitate ??
Nothing 😂
Can I use normal peacock hurl for the body
The best part about fly tying is all the creative options . You can definitely use peacock but I would be sure to counter rib it as peacock is a more delicate material and after a few fish will usually start to come apart .
Ok thanks
Devin only uses 3 strands of floss on his... I don’t think yours will work
You give the fish too much credit. Always look for dumb fish.
Yuk….clean and clip your fingernails. They’re disgusting! Had to stop watching the video. I’m
Cool. Let me hop back in my time machine and fix that. While I’m doing that,do you want a ride? Maybe I can take you back to 3rd grade so you can learn how to write.
Clean you fingernails before video
Clean your* fingernails before (you film)* a video. Fixed it for you. 😘
I like your dirty nails. It makes it feel authentic.
