Metamorphosis - World Day Against Trafficking in Persons 2024

In commemoration of the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons - 2024, IOM Sri Lanka organized an exclusive short film competition targeting youth between the ages of 15 and 35. The aim of the competition was to get youth society involved in the constellation of voices against anti-human trafficking and heighten awareness on human trafficking among communities at large. The short film competition received numerous entries and the top entries imbued powerful narratives on the suffering experienced by victims of trafficking and served as a powerful reminder of the need for continued and coordinated action to combat trafficking in persons.
This competition was made possible by the generous funding assistance from the US Department of State under the project "Strengthening Government and Civil Society Organizational Capacity to Combat Trafficking in Persons and Create a Greater IMPACT."
This video submission, titled 'Metamorphosis' secured first place in the competition.
