i would like to purchase your filter but where you screw it on to the hose is straight down on my shower and not angled like you are showing, is it still possible to maybe buy a shower piece attachment that angles it or something?

Changing filters and leaks: for removing the old filters, I use a strap wrench that I bought years ago, a Klein grip-it S12H, the belt is rubbery enough to grip. The weaker person holds the strap wrench, the stronger person holds the filter, and it is hard, but do-able. I have another strap wrench with seat belt material, it is too slick to grab. As far as leaks, I use Rectorseal TPlus2 teflon enriched pipe thread sealant on the outer threads of the filter, and tighten pretty tight. This stuff is really stiff. My Gunk brand plumbers silicone grease is really thick, but does not work on the threads. It might help on the two O rings. I was actually hoping for tips from other people because this is always a pain, but works if I put on enough Tplus2 and tighten enough (which makes it hard to get off).
Does it removes iron?

Your demo doesn't do anything about the white washer
Good morning! The White Washer should be pushed all the way to the back of the top crown. Then when you go to install it should screw on accordingly. Please let us know if you are having any issues installing or questions we didn't answer.

Do you remove the little white washer from the side?

Thank you for your question. The small white washer on the chrome collar should not be removed. This washer will prevent the top crown from leaking and creating a tight seal.

Thank you for reaching out! Our shower filters contain over 95% biodegradable carbon. The carbon can be used in a garden which is good for plant life. Collecting the loose carbon and tossing it in a plant bed is a great option for those who prefer to recycle the carbon!

To what extent does this filter remove fluoride?
And my other question: I am in South Africa, should I be able to find a retailer selling the filter cartridge?
Hi there, thanks for reaching out! Our Shower Filters do not remove fluoride. For removing fluoride, we recommend our OptimH20 Reverse Osmosis + Claryum under sink system, as it removes up to 95% of fluoride in your tap water.

They didn't show her trying to replace a new filter and how hard it is for a woman to twist it off and twist a new one back on tight enough so that there is no leaking. I struggle with doing this every time.

Pacifica74 I think they should come up with better solution,it leaks all the time.
I'm a woman and I've never had a problem replacing the filter.
My shower filter suddenly started leaking at the place the filter screws into the crown. Water pours down the sides of the shower filter. I've tried drying out the filter, putting the O ring in again, using cream around the threads to better secure the filter in the crown and nothing works.

Mine to! It leaks around the swivel collar to shower pipe. The filter wiggles even when tightened securely and not over tightened. Tried taking it off and reinstalling washer like it suggested and nothing. Hoping it’s just a defect
@@aquasana I did and they are sending me a replacement filter. Customer service is good but I think Aquasana needs to rethink design because this is the fourth filter I've gone through due to leaking problems in one year.
@@mrsawong7 The crown portion that you screw into the shower pipe is supposed to swivel, but you may need to try more plumber's tape around the threads of the shower pipe. I have found customer service at the Texas manufacturing source is really good. They could send you a new crown.
I used the teflon tape and the water is still pouring out🤔
