Can’t blame cowboys for picking the best players on their boards. The only fair criticism is whether or not they graded players accurately. Time will give us that answer.
People really forget that we have Rico Dowdle.
it might not be a draft that pays off in 1 season, but getting younger on the O-line, bringing in maulers on both side of the line and a high upside LT like Guyton... I think it will pay off for the next window of the Cowboys. I just think the Cowboys are moving forward, this team failed, their window closed and I just don't think them getting older will help. You build through the trenches, and it seems this draft was focused on that.

You could have traded future pick to get a 4th or 2. And would have had loads of good options at RB.

I used to think there’s no way they would go into the season without filling key positions with competent, capable players but I now know better. The Jones boys have nothing up their sleeves.
100%!! But I said the same thing last year about the PK. I was begging jerry to sign robbie gould or some other veteran. When he didn't I was so mad that he didn't value the PK, especially after our last one missed 5 XPs in a row. But iwas wrong and jerry was right.. we had the best PK in the nfl. Now sure he might have got lucky, but here is hoping
I would rather have them take the highest player on their board at 24. I guarantee you it wasn’t Barton. More likely Arnold the CB. who the Lions thought was worth overpaying for. Their atrocious off season forced their hand away from better players. Unforgivable. The draft also shows how stupid they were trading for Lance. One year left and he’ll never play a down in the regular season(hopefully). There went our running back. Some weird passive aggressive contract negotiation either Dak. I’m happy for the guys drafted but there’s no way we’re better now than last year unless ALL of these guys out down serious work as rookies. Good luck with that!

Dallas running backs room is an unknown at best. The online will determine how this group does, and the Oline has to be good in the run game or the will need to trade away a 2025 3-4th round pick to get one. The question is who will be available to be traded to Dallas.
