- Indian Railways earns about 70% of its revenues from the freight traffic alone , most of its profits come from movement of freight.
It makes a loss on passenger traffic. It deliberately keeps its passenger fares low and cross-subsidize's the loss-making passenger traffic with the profit-making freight traffic.
Freight trains are the Bread and Butter of Indian Railways ! In simple words The money God of Indian Railways !!

Good capture. Have a suggestion. You have captured a potential safety hazard in your video. @ 8.46 The tarpaulins on the BOXN are loose and are being blown by the wind - so high that they are about to hit the OHE (Maybe they have). Its a recipe for disaster. Some of it can get entangled or if its wet can cause discharges and potentially light up cargo or something else. If its possible you should forward this to the railway ministry highlighting the possibility of a safety hazard and call for new norms to tether down these tarpaulins in a better and secure way. Prevention is better than cure.

How many waggons are in the first video and second and so on?
58-59 wagons with one caboose each for the first 3 while the 4th one has around 42 wagons + 1 caboose.

Sir the artistic atmosphere, picturesque locations, information scroll, fine positioning, zooming rail joints etc all are excellent. Zooming shed abbreviation on locos might have been wonderful. Small suggestion if you don't mistake, pl present such excellent videos of 2 to 3 mts each or max 5 mts to maintain a tempo of viewers.Very nice and impeccable.
