"Approaching elevator please stand aside! Approaching elevator please stand aside!"
"Turning around." Lol
inb4 THEY TOOK OUR JABBSS!!!!!
I want to reprogram a bunch of TUG bots to fight eachother, no reason, I’m bored.
Gosh the robots are def here now .. liked my friend, have a great weekend :)ms
I want to constantly get in its way
So, legend has it that they will soon develop the THUG bot. It comes in black and speaks ghetto like a boss.
*Robot gets in*
Robot; Wait...this isnt a room!
*Turns around and looks at you*
Robot: FUC-*doors close...and elevator goes to the top*
That would be funny!!
XD I asked my mom if they had robots like this at the hospital she works at. She said Yeah, Theu're called Nurses
Hanson Robotics has AI Asha and Grace medical assistants in field testing right now. They can't pick up heavy weight or tolerate water so they can only handle light services like taking temperature reading with their sensors , patient conversation and therapy.
whos here from reddit
from the thred tht says "What is the moment you realized you were in the future"
Polite and efficientt! But those motors are a bit loud.
awesome.
FUTURE...FUTURE...FUTURE
Awesome!!! :D
are there any other kind of "tug" robots? like one for um . . . recreational use? I'm asking for a single friend of mine.
Why were you at a hospital?
You should have gotten on with it...
Awww
Fail he missed the elevator. Oh well at least if you miss something be it something that you know will happen again....
Nice
Is that MILTON?!
Many jobs will be lost! I saw "tug" running around in DC at Providence Hospital. I followed the robot to the elevator and watched tug get on the elevator. What is the future jobs for our children?
Ce1949Ce maybe robot repairmen??? 'tug' manufacturing factory workers??
It's actually because there aren't ENOUGH jobs in health care to fill the demand.
+Ce1949Ce Ultimately, we'll have to move towards a needs-based society - where jobs won't be required to acquire goods & services provided by robots. Difficult as that is to imagine as working compared to the unsustainable consumerism & capitalism presently.
It's going to be a radical(perhaps difficult) change-over, but will allow 'our children' the opportunity to not be tied to dead-end jobs they hate day-in-day-out, but choose to help ad-hoc, purely for social reasons rather than for making money, etc. Things will be more about hobbies and interacting with others. Money will eventually have to disappear - as obtaining it through a pyramid of robot workers won't be possible any more.
Needless to say, this isn't going to be a quick change-over but a gradual thing and governments will need to change the structure of the economy & build for support systems.
No doubt there will be hold-out communities too, that will try and isolate themselves from the benefits of robots, but it will be a very tiring life compared with more stress & shorter lifespans (potentially) and less things available.
teach your children to love computer science at an early age, and they'll be the ones rrunning and inventing these things, not the ones being replaced by them. Computer science is a growing field. So is robotics. the US needs more workers in this field.
cooool
tugs scare me
R2D2 ? :-))
Spawn of R2-D2
My wife always complains about TUG hijacking her elevator. I have to constantly remind her how AWESOME that is.
