He is hesitant in new situations and is a loner.
His father died before he was born, and he had never spent time with a silverback.
He had already turned into a silverback by the time he was 10 years old.
He is struggling with unfamiliar child-rearing.
MOMOTARO's father is BIJU.
MOMOTARO's mother is MOMOKO
Mother GENKI ♀ (1986/6/24)
She is 14 years older than Momotaro and has a role to support the whole family mentally.
She has had a tumultuous and eventful life.
She has returned to her birthplace, Kyoto City Zoo.
She had never been blessed with a baby but after meeting Momotaro,
she had two sons.
She is a very maternal female gorilla.
GENKI's father is MAKK.
GENKI's mother is HIROMI.
First son GENTARO, male (2011/12/21)
He was separated from his mother Genki soon after he was born.
Genki's milk production was not very good.
He was raised by his keeper for his first10 months.
Because of this, he is very fond of humans.
His face is so expressive, and everyone enjoys watching him.

He is just very strong-willed and independent.
He has big eyes and long eyebrows.
The way he plays a lot with his brother Gentaro makes everyone smile.

Yes Momotaro and Genki have pretty lively babies. Genki is so loving and Momotaro in his own way loves his boys. Gentaro soulful eyes like his mom. Kintaro is fearless and as the youngest of course active and mischievous, a sign of a healthy upbringing. They all make me laugh.
Kintaro could make a living working as a harvester in the fields! He is very good at gathering!

From a UK perspective I can see Momo as a Victorian Dad, repressed childhood, not his fault, rather strict and stuffy, socially awkward but he will protect his family to the end with a stiff upper lip, Genki protective mother who would knit if she could knit. Gentaro sent off to boarding school at an early age returns seeking fathers approval, and Kintaro is the 'Just William' from Richmal Cromptons books, a naughty little boy always causing trouble, lol.

This is one of my favorite gorilla families for sure. The birth of Jameela started my interest in gorillas. She is doing wonderful with the Mokolo troup and foster mom Freddie. Then i found your videos about this unique family. Gentaro is the most hansome young male gorilla in the world. Momotaro is handsome also..Kinny is cute. Genki is lovely in her own way. I'm glad Gentaro has more confidence, and feels closer to maturity to dad, because now he goes in before bdad or after him, instead of staying out longer than I'm everyone, and going in last, that makes him feel better about hisself.

creo que estaria cerca de ser la mas popular, pienso que la mas popular es la familia SHABANI, MOMOTARO y HAOKO. es curioso como estas 3 familia tienen mucho en comun, shabani siendo el hermano menor de haoko, momotaro siendo el hijo de momoko que es la actual esposa de haoko y teniendo a sus medio hermanos KOMOMO, MOMOKA, RIKI, SUMOMO.
Por cierto, una familia que se ha vuelto muy popular últimamente es la familia D'jeeco del zoológico de Taipéi en Taiwán.

Not to be rude, but a lot of English viewers know that gorillas in Japan were not handled well enough 10-20 years ago. We are sympathetic. I look at this whole family and I see decades of combined trauma. My goal in life is to hold Genki's hand one day.

Je suis abonné depuis très longtemps. Je me souviens quand Momotaro était malade 😢 .... La famille et surtout les fils de Momotaro étaient tellement triste que leurs santé en était touché...c était très difficile. Pour une note positive, j adorais voir Gantaro jouer avec son père quand il avait l'âge de Kintaro 😂 . Genki une maman formidable et très dévoué à ces fils.

Meus dois amores Kintaro e Genki, eu comecei a assistir a família por causa da Genki com o Kintaro bebê, fiquei encantada com Genki e o jeito carinhoso e protetor com Kintaro, e ao mesmo tempo do jeito dela deixava Gentaro participar de tudo, Kintaro sempre foi muito inteligente, determinado, eu não acho ele travesso, ele tem muita disposição, tem 5 anos, é normal, ele é brincalhão, carinhoso, uma garotinho incrível, é claro, observamos muitas semelhanças com o melhor dos humanos, mas para mim não é uma novela, eu amo os gorilas, tenho vontade de trabalhar cuidando, pesquisando, para que os gorilas tenham uma vida saudável, com qualidade de vida, com menos estresse, ansiedade, menos problemas cardíacos, a tradução no vídeo ajudou muito. Lo que es,extraño que GL,con los videos tan buenos y bonitos que hace.Con lo bien que nos explica las cosas,con lo que se esfuerza en hablar inglés para que lo entendamos todos.Y,lo bien que lo ha hecho para los que hablamos español,con sus aplicaciones hayamos podido traducirlo del inglés o japonés al español y solo haya podido subir 5000 suscriptores en 2 años😢.Cuando hay otros youtuber,que sacan copias,porque se nota en las imágenes,que son copiadas y,suben más.
Ahora,ya podemos sacar conclusiones de,porqué Gentaro, se hizo la herida.
Arrancaba los árboles, Kintaro.Y,resulta que su hermano mayor,también lo hace.
Ahí, puede haber una razón.Al arrancar el árbol y,tirar se clavó una rama.

Здравствуйте ДЛ. Я не из РОССИИ я из АЗЕРБАЙДЖАНА из Баку и я ( а мне уже 61г.) родилась здесь и мои родители тоже. И мой сын. Но все равно я тоже люблю Генки, а особенно мне жаль ее когда она проявляет беспокойство по какой либо причине. Я не сумашедшая, но со мной проживают много спасенных кошек от голода и гибели и 5 собак, тоже спасенных от гибели. И поэтому уже понятно что я и мой сын ( а мы все знаем что наши детки удваивают наши и плюсы и минусы в наших манерах поведения и характерах), мы очень любим животных. Мой сын уже лет 10 вегетарианец. И все это было видно еще в его детстве. Когда я убивала муху сидящую на столе мухобойкой, то мой сын начинал плакать, и говорить мне, что зачем я убила муху, жалко. А я его спрашивала, а что делать я должна, а он отвечал плача "Поймай ее и выпусти, но не убивай". Смешно конечно было мне тогда. Ну ладно я отвлеклась от наших горилл. Момотаро тоже красавец. Мне очень обидно как на некоторых платформах ЮТ нашего Момо называют умственно отсталым. Генки психопадкой, правда про сыновей их еще не докопались. Но я ДЛ прекрасно понимаю как тяжело всем зоопаркам всего мира содержать животных, заботится о них не только о еде, но и мед.осмотрах, лечение. И я понимаю что ни один зоопарк в мире не оправдывает в материальном смысле посещаемость посетителей. Все равно материально очень тяжело зоопаркам. Платить смотрителям, я думаю они так привязываются к своим подопечным животным, что готовы за самую мизерную плату присматривать за ними. Поэтому для меня все претензии некоторых людей в том, что маленькие вольеры, что то да се. Упреки, упреки и упреки не понимая что собственно говоря происходит и как там у вас в зоопарках. Я это хорошо понимаю. Человечество не достигло высшей степени своего сознания, что мы ЛЮДИ, а не прямо ходящие особи. Но увы большинство это не 1, а 2 из названных мне категорий . Спасибо Вам и всем всем всем нам подобных за любовь не только к себе , но и к братьям нашим меньшим. И то с какой нежностью и любовью Вы рассказываете про наших Момотаро, Генки, нашего Гентаро и шалуна Кинку я вижу как Вы переживаете за эту семейку нашу. Желаю Вам и всем работникам здоровья и скорейшего нахождения выхода из какой либо проблемы наших горилл. С Уважением Татьяна.

He has a wound on his left upper chest. However it’s not serious and the keepers state that it’s not festering and will be healed soon.

The main channel (Japanese Zoo ( posting Shabani videos has cumulatively 55,000,000 views and there are several other channels who post Shabani troop videos going back 10 years. I really enjoy the voiceovers here on this channel and the OP does a really great job with this channel, but the numbers don’t lie. For me, the Shabani troop is more animated than the Momotaro troop. That being said, I enjoy them both.
Shabani and Momotaro families are both popular. I like them both. Shabani based out of Tokyo has more population and funding. Kyoto is a smaller city and dont have the funding but they have a beautiful family. I also like DJeeco in Taiwan
