I am your oldest fan...84...never too old to learn! I knew when I saw this little book, I had to make it! I used your video directions, stopping and starting, rewinding! I just completed the basic book, now to embellish! It is not as perfect as yours but I love it. God bless you and your family!
I’m 70, and did the exact same thing! I made the whole thing from black and white paper. Will use color in the decorating. Loved this!
You don't give yourself enough credit as a wonderful teacher! The preparation you went through was well worth the result and not confusing. This is a beautiful album. I love that you showed your prototype at the end too, because it encourages me to play and maybe design my own album. Thank you!
This is brilliant!! I'm LOVING your spoken directions as you follow the written ones. I never fail to learn from your videos. Thank you so very much!
You are one of the best teachers I have ever had. I am 57 years old. This was such a satisfying project! It does end up making sense!
You turned what seemed to me at the beginning of the video to be a complicated project, into a simple and easy-to-follow process. Brilliant! I just felt my mojo return and I can't wait to make this. Thank you for everything you share with us💜
Natasha, thank you for this tutorial! I have been planning to craft an art journal for my three year old grand-daughter. This mini album with a few tweaks will work. I know that three is a bit young, but, my aim is to supply her with tools to learn and enjoy making marks on paper and beyond. Her folks have agreed to take photos of her making art, printing them out, helping her glue the art piece and photo to a page, and then do the journaling about the day and the project. Any other ideas and tips would be welcome! And, hey, if she doesn't like it, I will try again in a couple of years and hope for the best.
Sue Archer, I love your art journal idea. My youngest granddaughter just turned 10 but she is very creative and loves to draw. I would love to borrow your idea. And my sister has 6 young granddaughters who also are all creative. I always do a little something for them at Christmas and this is wonderful. Love and hugs.
Or can cut 12 x 12 papers into quarters....to get 4 definitely matching pages, then another set etc, to create a collection of matching pages. They may not match each other in that sense, but you can add them 1, 2, 3, 4 and repeat throughout the book....one from each set (12 x 12)
I probably made that sound far more complicated than I mean! 🙄
Cute book and I love all the hidey holes! The more the merrier IMO! I love all the variations of pockets, flaps, flips etc. 😘😘😘
Phew. I had you on 0.75 speed, plus pausing and managed to craft along with you!
Very much worth the effort. Especially thought it was helpful to include the instructions for us to screenshot! I can think of so many themes to use this book for and will be sharing to a group of ladies at a quilting retreat so that they can make a memory book of this event using their photos! ❤
Love your mini album and the video was excellent. Also love how you write out the directions too. Thank you for sharing your talents and projects with us.😊❤
Very well explained and I really like the design of your album you spoke really well and were really easy to understand thank you very much😊
Oh My Goodness. This is fantastic, awesome and just what I need to use up 20 years of collecting 6x6 paper pads. Sunday sorted. Thank you 😃
That endless hinging idea is brilliant! I have been thinking about turning my journals into a format, where each spread is made separately and attached to the previous one, so the journal gradually grows thicker and thicker. This hinging technique could work well for that purpose. As always, thank you for the inspiration!
Love this little journal. Your instructions are great, but I’m sure I’ll have to watch again as I make it. 😊
Oh this would be a better format for my 5 yr old granddaughter’s fairy book. Thank you so much for working this all out for us lovey. We can add little pockets & flips for fairies & nomes to peek out of. On this heavier paper, it will hold up better in her backpack. Sweet!
I am so happy you did this video. I got a large bagl of 6x6 craft sheets at the thrift store. I was looking through my ephemera to make a tab closure book for my granddaughter and I really didnt think she would appreciate the old ads etc. Then you reminded me of this 6x6 that are colorful and whimsical. Perfect. I found this a little confusing but I think you demonstrated so well. I'll have to watch again and again to get it but it will be worth it. I'm 68 and can't believe I dont know how to take a screen shot and I'd need a printer to have a hard copy hard to read on telephone but I'll make do. Thanks so much. She can use for her art and I'll include stickers in some of the pockets.
Wow, you did it again! This is absolutely fabulous! I LOVE it! A wonderful gift idea. With your detailed instructions in this video I do not feel confused at all and I am looking forward to make a mini album myself. You are amazingly gifted coming up with all these ideas all the time. And the most amazing thing? You share them with us for free. Thank you so very much!
I found this video yesterday, and just had to make one today for my 7 year old grand daughter. She loves it. I can’t wait to watch more of your videos.
A great little mini album with the 6x6 paper! thanks for sharing!
I just want to take a moment to tell you how much I enjoy your videos! You are an inspiration and I love your taste and style. Thank you so very much!.
I am seeing this 10 months later but I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate this type of tutorial. I love watching the junk journal creations but this little folio is an essential refresher for simple papercrafting . Thank you so much for sharing your passion for paper ! I watch many past videos with the same zeal as the newer versions❤
LOVE this!!!! I have a few 6x6 paper pads and that s such a great idea!! Loved your little brief singing in the middle. You are so much fun to watch and so inspiring!!!
Yes loved this tutorial, plus it will help me de stash those pads I don’t like. 🤷🏽♀️🤣👍🏾🥰🤩 Thank you, Natasha!! 💜
OMG, Natasha! I've made 4 of these, and have plans for 3 more. I LOVE these!!! Thank you again! 😊
I'm going to enjoy trying this out!
Might pass it on to my sister-in-law, who is a teacher.
I loved the little song (‘here comes the glue again’). Do it again. 😊And of course, I love the project itself of making the basis. And the demonstration is super clear for me. I am now motivated to make several such books as cute additions to my Christmas or BD gifts. And I am curious how much time it will take me to produce one of such books once I am fluent with the process. I will add the record of timing for each step on the cheat sheet. I’ll start my practice with thick magazine pages/covers I painted over in one color (with just regular interior paint from a construction store). This is going to be cool, I am sure. Glue stick applied over double-sided tape to be able to maneuver it for a short time is an excellent tip, thank you for all such tips and ideas about alternatives you share.
Thanks so much for watching and good luck with the project! I hope you enjoy it :)
I love this. I found a book of 50 sheets 12x12 double-sided signature paper on sale at Walmart for $5.88! What a bargain. Such beautiful designs and perfect for this project. Your tutorials are awesome and so easy to follow. I can’t wait to start this.
Fun journal to build and decorate. The opportunity to take a screen shot of the instructions was very helpful.
Thank you love it. Will try. House bound 82 year old. Something new to try. In Canada Manitoba.
After a few hiccups I love our little bookie journal. I say Our because I could not for the life of me after watching the first three pages over yes, 5 times I asked Hubby for help. So, today after work we became a crafting team. I ran the video and stopped when he needed it. Let me explain about the first three pages. I did not know if glue was being put on page 2 or 3 hinge that was completely glued down. If it had been said to glue or not glue the hinge I would have been ok, but that had me messed up not knowing if it should have been glued. However, that we got passed it and now I understand. Sooo, hubby and I are going to each make another one together but each doing our own. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this tutorial and bringing hubby into my craft world. ❤
Can't stop making these!!!!!
What a cute little journal! You are so easy to listen to and you do so well teaching us. TFS🤗
What a great idea, and great tutorial. Thank you! My head is spinning with ideas now of how I would use this :)
Thank you very much for this tuto. It s a pleasure for me to listen your clear explications (and read) in English. I am French woman and I can perfect this language. I wish you a nice day. At soon.
Natasha, I have been watching all kinds of journal/book making videos for weeks and today I saw this one and happened to have a 6" pad on my table so I said to myself JUST DO IT! I'm embarrassed to admit that I had to rewind many times but I did it! I have to do the embellishing still but I am so happy with what I did get done this afternoon. Thank you for this!!
As usual your instructions are very precise and clear so that even I can follow along. It's not your fault my creations always end up so uneven. Thanks for this, it was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon
My goodness, but this stressed me out! NOT because of you, but simply because of my being 'afraid' of 'getting it wrong'. In the end I was SO happy with my mini album! Your instructions were impeccable and your voice is so gentle throughout. You are very encouraging. I cannot wait to make another one! Actually, I cannot wait to embellish this first 'sample'! Thank you SO much for a very entertaining and informative video. 🥰❣❤
I absolutely LOVE this! Nice job on the directions. I really like that you gave written notes to go along with your lovely voiced directions! Thank you for sharing your creativity! ❤️❤️❤️
I was gifted some 6x6 pads that really aren't my taste and NOW I know just what to do with them! Thank you so much for this!
I loved this project. I made quite a few back in 2020 when i first came upon it. Series of health events interrupted my adventure with these books. I really like the 49 & Market papers. I usually get the 6x8 packs and is quite heavy cardstock and is double-sided. Today, here in U.S.A., i made this book using that paper and just have had a wonderful afternoon of play. Even though paper is heavy, it did not crack. Thank you for sharing.
You're pure genius Natasha. This is fantastic
I always enjoy your videos. You are very easy to follow and your dialogue is concise and clear. Thank you for sharing what you love! I also loved “here comes the glue”. Your so cute! 🎵🎶
I am most certainly going to be making some of these! I can’t resist cute 6x6 paper pads on sale and I think this makes a great gift size. Thank you for the clear directions and I love getting the screen shots at the end.
I've just got to say, I've been binge watching all your past videos and you are my fave journal CZcams. Love that you are a fellow Australia ❤️🌏 but most importantly, that your instructions are so easy to follow AND you are to the 👉 point! Bless you as have learnt so much through your online instruction and inspired by your creativity. Thanks so much for all the work you put into your videos xo
Love that I can use a pack of paper so they’re coordinated for me. This looks like a lovely Christmas gift idea for a special friend. 😊😊
I've made a lot of photo albums in my paper journey but have never seen anything done this way! So simple, but what a fabulous layout!!! Thank you so much for sharing your idea! I'm am going to whip out a few of these! Thanks again, AKA Arlene
You are an amazingly creative teacher!! This is such a great little journal, and you made it doable for all of us! I'm waiting to get my hair cut as I watch this, but I'm tempted to cancel and go home and "play" in my craft room instead! Thank you for all the inspiration you give us!
This is an absolutely amazing journal. Thank you for the step by step - so clear and easy to understand. And the written directions will be helpful in the process
I absolutely love this tutorial. I followed it and made my book. This was so much fun. I love your videos!! ❤
I'm a little late to the party but I'm glad I found your channel. I love your junk journals, and this tutorial is awesome! I just got four 6×6 scrapbook paper pads, and then this video popped up in my feed. Perfect! I can't wait to try this.
Your instructions and explanations are always very clear. It's obvious that you have thought it out from the viewer's perspective. Your videos are well organized, which makes them flow smoothly, and that adds to making them easy to follow. I always enjoy your projects. Thank you for your creativity and sharing your processes!
I have so many 6x6 paper pads. This is a fabulous idea. I will definitely be making one of these. Love it. What I do when I want to make something someone has made is I watch the video and stop it at each step. I can’t wait to make one. TFS and for the inspiration! ❤️
Just started making junk journals…LOVE your channel. You explain things so well and I love the instruction sheets at the end.😊 I have several 6x6 paper pads and even a duplicate….can’t wait to make some of these and give them as gifts 🎁!
Love, love, love this project. You gave the basics of construction, and this leaves the door open for endless possibilities! Thank you!
Very cute journal. Love how you explain and show your process so well. Thank you. 💕
I made this with you! I’ve never stopped and started a video so many times🤣. The next one will be easier. I love all your videos.
I love your brilliant engineering and subsequent evolution of your creative ideas. Thank you for the generous sharing of your skills.
My friend Rebecca and I watched the video and made the journal together, we loved making it and we are going to make another!! You explained everything so we understood what to do!
I made one out of 6x6 paper and had a ball thank you. Smiles from down under 💐😂🇳🇿👍
I loved this tutorial! I’m watching it at midnight and I want to jump out of bed and make it right now! I’m so excited, I can’t wait for morning! I took snap shots of the instructions and I’m ready to go. Thank you so much for sharing your creative ideas!
Natasha so fun again...I have 12x12 paper that has a 4x4 pictures on it and they seem to never get used. I think I will find those and make one from them. Love it.
Editing my note to say, I have made 2 and WOW great idea for making Grandparents a little flip book of pictures, a special event memory keeping (like my Aunt's 75th Birthday) and not confusing if you number your pages, I used post-it notes and that kept it neater on the 2nd one.
Love it, and it's not confusing at all, you have wonderful instructions. I just love all your beautiful ideas, it truly inspires me. Love and peace and blessings, keep on junking 🙃💝💖☮
With the written instructions right there as you (we) worked thru it, I was able to work along with you AND write down the instructions. I made myself a prototype as an example so I can make it again. I'm brand new to paper crafting, and this is my third or fourth attempt at making an album. It's very sloppy, but I finally had success! So thank you very much for your great tutorial. It got me to subscribe, too! LOL
Just made one! Good directions...I just follow along with you and pause the video when needed for me to catch up....It is a beautiful book..Now I need to finish decorating it.
I really enjoyed your video. I actually did the project with you. I just have to line my papers up better but over all the project came out well for my first time. Now I have to decorate it. Thank you very much for sharing.... You are a true TREASURE.....
Thank you so much for this video. I agree you’re a great instructor and you make things simple and not complicated.
I'm brand new to this craft, and it is easy to get lost in all the videos shared by all the artists on You Tube. It is your videos that ground me. This particular project is a good project for beginners. I see this as square one for me. I can't wait to get started! Thank you, Natasha.
Beginner here, though the passion for paper and books has been with me since early childhood. So excited to learn to create my own treasures! Thank you so very much for sharing your time and creativity!!!
I needed this this morning, I'm in a slump and can use a smile 😊
Love this. While watching I kept visualizing an interactive toddler book for moror skills.
Fun , fun, fun !!! Gurl , I was having such a awful day today and you absolutely lifted my spirits. I always look forward to every weekend . You're soo very inspirational and such a beautiful light in my world . Thank you for your uploads 🥰🙏🏽 hugs and blessings dear .
I just started doing junk journals and you are my go-to site for them. I've made several. But I'm thinking this is my VERY FAVORITE!!! I had so much fun following along with you and using up a pad of old 6x6 paper that I didn't use because I didn't like... made for a perfect 'first'. Now it's my example and I'm going to get the beautiful paper I have in my Amazon cart. 😁 I can't wait to make a bunch of these for gifts. Thank you for this one !!!!🥰
Edit: I didn't like this paper pad, but once it was finished and tricked out... it was ADORABLE. I did forget to keep a couple of the pages open at the top 🤪but it still turned out SO cute. Can't wait for my paper to arrive so I can do another one 🥰
This is a sweet project.....especially for using up paper that seems to accumulate! Very easy to follow tutorial, you explain things perfectly, not too slow and not too fast, just perfect and I am going to make this to use as a small journal! Thank you so much for inspiring and sharing!
Natasa I’m such a huge fan of yours. How DO you come up with all these amazing projects! Folds and flips and pages here and there and you make it into such a lovely album! Your explanation in the video combined with the clear written instructions make it super easy to follow and I can’t wait to do it myself following your steps and having fun doing so! Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us!
Best album for the inexperienced journal maker. Love it!xxox
I love this book style the best since I don't sew. I have a lot of those paper page books I can now use up! Thanks
I broke out a 6x6 pad that has been sitting forever and did one along with you!! This was so much fun and you explained it brilliantly❣ I have another 6x6 pad I can't wait to use up on another one🤩
That mini album is awesome! I don't have 6"x6" paper, but I'll cut down my 12"x12". Your written instructions are very good, and you don't make it more complicated at all.
Thank you so much for the written instructions as well as your great tutorial! You are the best !
I’ve been looking for a 6x6 mini album for awhile and just fell in love with this one!! Thank you so much for sharing! I love your videos! You always make the instructions easy to follow!
Great tutorial. What a fantastic project. Thank you for letting us take a screenshot of the notes-BRILLIANT❣️
This would make an amazing vacation, wedding or baby book.
Great way to use up 12x12 card-stock as well -just cut a couple of pages into 4 6x6 squares. I appreciate that I DID NOT have to purchase anything!! I am able to use some of my hoard of supplies.
Mind blown🤯 I’m making a wedding book for my daughter😍 Another one for my wonderful dog and a coffee book 🤣😆
You are AWESOME🤗
I had to come back the next day and say this was am awesome project. I spent the better part of this rainy Sunday working on a baby book. I used parts of the remaining pages making little frames for photos, tags to tuck into the pockets and journaling boxes.
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this tutorial. I am definitely making more of these cuties!!
Great tutorial-but I’m a little biased- I always love watching one of your videos while having breakfast. Starts my day on a happy note! This one is getting me inspired to make a birthday card/journal for my sister’s upcoming birthday. She’ll love it! And your instructions make perfect sense. Thank you 😊
Thank you so much for this! I love the way you write directions and take us through step by step. It is so helpful because I’ve never made one before. 😊
I absolutely LOVE! 💖 your AMAZING tutorials. You make everything so easy to follow/understand.
I don’t like Junk Journals that are too Grundy, do LOVE things like this one. People I give to "get" what I am giving them😀
Keep up the Fantastic Work.
💖🏴
Love this size journal. It's a great size for beginners and you explain every detail so well. You are such a great teacher and I've loved watching some of your other videos. Thank you for sharing. I can't wait to get started.❤
As always, Natasha, you are the best! Your engineering skills are wonderful! Your teaching skills are also. You explain everything so clearly and simply. Your books may be a treasure, but so are YOU!
What fun!!
Well, I found a pad to smash. It didn't have nearly 17 pages, and many that were left were the same, but it is now smashed. I still have a few pieces I can use as pockets. Tags and other ephemera were already die cut before, just waiting for the base book to be done. I did find a wide strip scrap that I used for a binding, instead of bringing the back around to the front. Also found my coordinated washi tape. 😊
I will use washi tape on cereal bag plastic to make little pouches for the tags, etc, then place in the pockets I made. Almost done! Thanks for the basic plans... (I never follow a pattern exactly, anymore. 😏)
Ohhhh thank you!!! This is exactly what I needed in my life. I started last night and just finished watching. Now to get paper out and watch it again ♥🕊️😃
I absolutely love this book. I hope to make one for my niece for Christmas. She'll love it.
I think it is well demonstrated, especially with the written notes....doesn’t seem too difficult....I would try it as soon as I get my room fixed up and organized....love your tutorials....😻
This was a challenge! I made the base with some 12x 12 throwaway paper. Very fun! Now I need to get some good paper to make real ones and embellish. Thanks!
You are just brilliant! ♥ Yet you still remain humble, and with a sense of humour... ☺
I've been enjoying your channel for a while now, but I never commented. You are so awesome. You do a great job explaining and showing me all these wonderful ideas!! Wow! Thank you!
Hello from Bristol Virginia (USA) I absolutely LOVE everyone of your tutorials … your work is AMAZING !! I usually don’t comment .. always a thumbs up 👍 but I felt today I needed to comment. Thank You 🙏 so much for sharing your talent/creativity !!
God Bless You !! (Deloris)
Fantastic little journal, you never cease to amaze me with all your ideas thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for your video. It was very easy to follow, not at all confusing. I have not scrapbooked in several years and want to get started again. I have tons of supplies including several 6x6 paper pads. I think making this little journal will be the perfect way to get back into paper crafting. Thanks again!
You have a true talent in paper crafting, organizing your videos, and communicating the directions so clearly and efficiently. You have made this an art! Thank you for sharing your creativity.
Oh! I wish I could show you, but I rolled page 17 glue part over the spine to help it glue better, using my table/countertop and it will bind/stick beautifully! I didnt score, and I didn't even have to use any clips on mine, I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome! 🥰
Also, i just love that you always share easy hacks that encourage viewers to not run out and buy expensive equipment. You're a true teacher.
She is!
Thank you SO much!!!
Wonderful teacher! Lots of treasure in them recycling bin.
@@TreasureBooks finding your channel has been lifechanging. I have always loved papercrafts but i never knew what kinds of glue to use for what and got incredibly frustrated by gluesticks and mod podge. I have been making so much stuff, and next month I will be doing my first craft fair booth! ⭐
This is such a fabulous interactive album and would be such fun to create.❤
