- Playing the Connecticut Sun for the second time in a week, the Indiana Fever faltered down the stretch in a 88-84 loss. They had five players reach double figures and newcomer Temi Fagbenle recorded her first career double-double (11/10) off the bench. Kelsey Mitchell had 17 points, as did Caitlin Clark.

its obvious. And lexi hull and celeste taylor are top defenders. Celeste had 85 steals in a season....but somehow coach sides put them on the bench. She is tanking the team and its intentional.
They should switch out Katie Lou; bless her I ❤️her but she isn’t ready to start yet, needs to work more to be ready on her fundamentals and put Celeste in her spot, CC as PG, Temi PF, Boston as Center, Kelsey as W and Celeste as G

It will be tough for a coach to drop a no.2 pick (Nalyssa) or a no. 1 pick (Boston) in favor of Temi. That’s a huge decision to make.

We are witnessing a team get better each new game in a substantial jump on each new game. I saw the Liberties tonight,, and they're consistently tge same quality each game, and won. With the Fevers I see a consistently jump in quality each new gane, and if they continue this process we may vary well see the Fevers in the playoffs.

Agreed. Two major flaws: second hand shots and turnovers.
Also, another big needs to be in the paint to get rebounds. How about Damiris Dantas? Veteran-8 years in. Experienced. Someone who can help in the paint.
Starting: Caitlin, Katie Lou, N. Smith, A.Boston, and Dantas instead of Mitchell.
However, Mitchell is so quick, and can get up & down the court faster than anyone else. I see why she’s needed.

I'll say what I said last time the game was tied. With 29 seconds left and the game tied your opponent has the ball and now controls the clock & the game. You should've fouled right away giving them a 75% chance to score only 1 point. After their time at the free throw line, Fever would've had 27 seconds left to control the game and the clock to get a 3 point play, either by 3 point shot or a 2 point drive with high probability of foul potential. I know you find this analysis difficult, but try it next time and see how it will work to your advantage. The math works out.

Me three! I thought when this same situation happened against the Dream, that they didn't foul because that was a preseason game and didn't matter. But yeah, allowing the other team to wind the clock down is just... not a good decision.

This loss is on Boston, missed MULTIPLE short shots n layups. Been four games in a row where she's been horrible.
Love Aliyah but I kind of agree. Clark is making mistakes here and there but Aliyah is the X factor imo.

I disagree they play it well tonight honestly looking at the defense Clark played the least amount of defense between her defense and turnovers that was the game right there especially the take foul at the end and the technical foul. Boston missed the layup but her game is what kept them so close she was causing problems in the pain and playing defense boxing out doing everything that a big is supposed to do.

Learn how to space, screens and get her open looks. I dont even know if her team mates knows how to screen. The faster they learn the sooner they start winning. Again dont focus yet on winning
Huh but Boston had more turnovers than clark and clark despite her bad decisions she hit all the clutch shots (that she took) the logo three the go ahead lay up to tie it at 82 the ability to be a floor general she is a rookie 4 games in literally and she has the responsibility of hitting clutch shots and orchestrating the offense having heavy usage she shot the ball well she had the best all around game ..clearly the best player on the floor for her team and her defense is not great however she competes second game with multiple blocks ...in 4 games lol yal tripping shorty is her
