Poor Lingyi wanted to spend time with Shiyi/used an excuse to entire her abode. This man can't stop putting his foot in his mouth when he talks to her. He continues to accuse her of causing trouble because that's what he's used too. Instead of talking to her directly he accused her of putting nanny Tao up to hitting someone. She really knows how to get under his skin. Whenever she defends herself against his accusations she always win. He never knows how to respond to her...lol Lingyi doesn't know how to handle Shiyi. She isn't trying to gain his favor/she doesn't care about his status. She isn't scared to challenge him. Poor Zhaoying stuck in the middle. He knew that Lingyi went to see Shiyi but he wasn't expecting things to end like it did...lol Lingyi calling her sharp tongue/unreasonable is hilarious. He left her room unsatisfied again.
Shiyi is brilliant. She warned Lianfang about scheming against her but of course Lianfang is too stupid to understand. She told her that she wouldn't fight her but if Lianfang continues to scheme that she will fight back. Lianfang will NEVER be on Shiyi's level. She's too smart for Lianfang to handle.
Go ShiYi! What a fantastic character she is.

She's not there for his favour or his wealth, so is freed from any desire to please him. Thus, when Lingyi throws unfounded allegations at her, she simply retorts back. Lingyi just doesn't know how to handle that - so used is he - as the boss - to just pass down orders to his concubines/subordinates. No one in the Xu Mansion dares to talk to him that way. Good for Shi Yi!! If he's bored or needs some excitement in his domestic life, there is now someone to spar with him .
