Ironically, the singer did not heed his own cautioning against the constantly using of English that distorts messages. The singer episodically injected English words (not the quotes he makes of characters in his song). Late Oliver De Coque also made a similar observation in a song in 1987, he also spoke English in that song in which he lamented "Engli-Igbo". English language is beautiful but Igbos must stop speaking it to the point of injecting it in every conversation in Igbo language. I was impressed by Tinubu's "Emilokan" speech that was delivered in complete Yoruba language; Hausas can do so too but no Igbo is capable of delivering a full speech in Igbo. This must stop, else Igbo language will go extinct soon.
