I can't believe there are robots learning how to use swords, for when they are going to take over the world, and people are more focused on some little orange thing going around in circles....

Its obviously capable of higher speeds, its just that they did not want the light sabers to break with the sudden movements and impacts, etc. So they held back for that reason alone. Now give those same robots some strong wooden staffs or stainless steel swords and the fight is on, lol....
@erratyk really im pretty sure force is a measure of mass x velocity. just have the damn robot slow down before contact so it doesnt break the lightsaber but still triggers a sound effect. this aint rocket science.
future prosthetics for lightsaber duelists like Anakin and Luke Skywalker: human like replica hand? good for attracting females and pleasuring them: Grievous hand? good for chopping up Jedi or Sith!

That would be awesome if the sabers were real. Next time put swords or bamboo sticks in the grips and make them connect for some coolness.
Imagine if those were real swords, and we were fighting hundreds of them. and we didn't have guns.
