Removing Stump with Small 5000 pound Trackhoe. The trackhoe is a Yanmar Vio 20. This video was shot with a Panasonic FZ35 in VGA movie mode. See my new youtube channel at czcams.com/users/pcroads#p/u
I take delivery of a 2.5 t machine today. Plan to dig out 100 stumps that big and smaller. It’s going to take me weeks by the looks of it. But my soil is really loose and sandy.
Good job man. That gets me stoked, just got my first mini ex (2006 JD 35d). I also run a small tree service so I'm definitely gonna try this out , on the lookout for a ripper pick attachment
It is often little better than a large excavator. I'm digging stumps on Caterpillar 390D L, weight 90 tons. Bucket is 5 cubic meters, 11.8 meters depth range.
Hi friend !!! get yourself one shank stump ripper in place of the bucket safe time and money but also preserving the machine !!!

@1toomanyhobbies yes is was about 14 inches across. This was a vio20
fantastic job
have same Yanmar love it! Sold my CAT330 .
He is a novelist, using his stick cylinder to break routes, he should use his bucket cylinder, which has 30x the power to break routes.
Hey, Thanks for the Video, I like what I see, Bill

if you watch this whole video without skipping any part you really have hit rock bottom
that toy excavator on that stump was a boy on a man's job. However, you knew the right way to go about it. well done.
I bet you are glad you didn't have to do that with a spade

Good work, One day I will retire and buy a similar machine and begin my second career.
Are you removing a stump or digging a pool?
what size was the tree? About 12 or 14 inches across? I'm thinking of getting a vio27. Thanks!
you bet
Gotcha. I see what you are saying. Maybe I will try that.
