- I play a tiny bit of sky for you to decide if you going to play it or not. It's a great game so i personally recommend it.

The old maps looked really cool, it’s surprising how much sky has changed
Yea, aside from the characters, just about everything has changed
Even the guide hands is still there

Maybe they made the maps smaller so lag wouldn't be a problem

Also, the story at the begining feels canon.
"You awake on a distant shore, away from your family...maybe you can find a new home here?"
it doesnt make sense tho because we’re the only hope of light coming bacj to the kingdoms
We’re are in sky children of the light, but it might be a different story for this older version. But that might have been part of the story too. We were separated from our family and sent here so the elder could guide us so we wouldn’t have our family as a distraction, but I don’t know much of sky lore

I played Sky for half of year and looked at it's first concepts. Love how the instructions were more clearer in older version.
But one thing is really interesting and i would like to point it out. In the first concepts our first elder was, as it were, a guide for the children of light, directing them to the world of Sky. So the fact that he gave the first wing, cape is such a nice detail. I wish tgc saved more lore from their concepts
Alas, now everything has turned into tomcepts
I honestly love the amount of lore and story they involve in the old version of Sky and it would be nice if they could update this one to specifically be made for people wanting to learn more about the lore and history of Sky, seeing as not everyone is into big story gameplay and changing COTL would be way too much and just adding a area to substitute this would just be boring.
i like the fact that skykid in light awaits are really someone's kid. not just a star, what fell from the sky. and I also like the fact that skykid "answers" to bell of the temple. i think this is wholesome

the version of sky we currently have is cool and all but i also really like this old version, the lore is a little clearer and it's also more moth-friendly
to some extent, the animation for the player character is also smoother as well
So this is how old sky looks like. The area was a lot smaller than now and there is no spirits around. Im glad added them. I kinda like how Aviary looks like and there are more sentences that explain what we really should do.

Old sky is more cool than the new one
I seriously agree that the old sky looks much cooler and more newbie-friendly, but for a cosmitic focused game the currency mechanic is so poor. AKA when you collected those wax orb look how slowly the bar was rising. very glad they changed it.
Every candle was 100 wax before the chevron system
Previously, the prices were different....
The details it has before man...., the new one is more compatible in devices but the game leaves so much questions when you started it. And the isle, now it is more like a light version of wasteland. The new sky is more of open world and it is not bad because the flight mechanic is more used but you know.... the new players are so lost. After completing eden most of moths are quitting because they don't know what's next.
They want newer players ti be sorta lost so they ask for help and meet new players.
They could insert this old area as an alternate universe, like the secret Office space in sky
The home lobby in this game looked so much nicer before

personally, i like this isle more than the isle of dawn that we have in the game. i know it won't happen but I wish they'd bring this back.🥺🥺
I like the old Isle of dawn. The recent isle is way too boring and too mamy space
Can definitely see that Journey had a lot to do with the inspiration for this game in the early stages

i have been playing the game since 2019. there was a time when I didn’t have time to play with it. I still regret it because it has changed a lot. I liked the old version better, although I don't have much trouble with the current one either. However, I would be happy to be in it again one day from the old tracks.

I'm not asking for them to get rid of the current maps in sky cotl, cuz I love them a lot... but maybe a separate version of the game like Beta where we can experience Light Awaits- it's truly enchanting, and I like that at home players can be by themselves. Also Aviary is really cool!
I love the looks of old sky, but I think the reason why they changed it is because lower-end devices can't handle it

They can add it and have lower end support. The problem is that they can't optimise for shit leading to higher spec requirements.

This is what I loved about sky!! The lore and beautiful story!! Now it just feels like everything is all about getting new cosmetics, with tgc throwing in random bits and pieces. Won't lie, I preferred old sky rather than the current one.

Now I know why TGC remake this game into the current Sky. There's some system they improved in Children of Light from Light Awaits

Wait so there's actually a reason as to why we have our red candles? It comes from our core?
Well, the light source comes from within sky children. If you play Sky:CotL, look at your character up close. There is a small light source in their chest. Then watch closely when you pull your candle out 🕯️. If you notice, they actually pull the light out from within it's chest. Then, that spot that was lit up inside them turns dark. But when you put your candle (light source) away, the spot lights up again. Pretty neat, huh?
I like to believe this is how the it looked before sky kingdom was destroyed

I started playing in 2020 Aviary wasn't there anymore and begining was already different too, Isle of dawn looked like now is and spirits were all around. I started at season of sanctuary. Its nice to see that this game is still alive and some are still playing... honestly i really love Sky 😁
Can they just add these concepts in COTL i swear i played this before. Like add the ISLE into the game. The old maps are really nice and would love to see them creep into the current game for possible future seasons.
I really wish they would add a new realm to sky too, expand the world!!

I liked how this one was more informative and also gave us more background on the lore too. There’s a lot of extra details that would’ve been better if it stayed in the game. I like the closet system lol it seems more free tbh but then again the game probably wouldn’t make enough money without the exchange of candle currency
