Everyone wants to run 13.5, with lightened everything, counting grams of weight. All the while spending tons more money to go as fast as possible with slower equipment lol. • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  Před 2 lety

      Thanks buddy. Yes, unfortunately, OCRC closed up at the end of Dec 2021. The story goes that the church next door and across the alley, went behind OCRC's backs to the new landlord and basically said "Don't rent to them anymore and rent it to us". Very christian like. OCRC's owners did attempt to move, but the added cost of not only a new building's rent (they had a decent deal) and literally moving tons of clay - it just wasn't in the works for OCRC. It's honestly sad. They were the epitome of what a track should be and a cultish church took them down

    Great upload! Loved the bloopers, had a good chuckle 🤣🤣🤣
    It’s obviously durable. What did you think about your motor selection? It “seemed” to only really have the chance to shine on the long stretch, where it looked like it still had more to give!
    I’m a basher as you know. Would a motor with more turns get you through those corners and jumps quicker. Or do I have it back to front. Lower turns more top end, higher turns more low down torque?
    It would be interesting to see the difference, lap time comparison.
    Also is it worth racers updating to the .2?
    Cheers Rich.

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  Před 4 lety +2

      Thanks PG! Yes, the blooper section was funny. My camera guy and I had a good laugh on a few of those. The motor is probably too much for it...my 6.5t in my eb410 seemed faster with a bit more grunt. typically a 5.5t will have the top end speed, but less torque. a slower turned motor would be better for the turns and jumps....but then again, I haven't messed with any tuning on the ESC yet either. Point2 worth it? I'd say yes, especially if your Eb410 is older - and in need of a rebuild. If you have a less than year old EB410...maybe just adding some of the updates would suffice and give you similar results. But the total package that Tekno has in the Point2 is a lot of value

The ET410.2 needs some power...I'm using a 5.5t HW motor (for indoor), but you can also drop in a 540 canned 4 pole like the 3652 Xerun (for outdoor) - I've ran the 5100kv before in the regular 410 with the XR8 SCT pro - it's rocket either way

      Just did (I've seen them before) - it looks good, but 90% of the issues will be getting parts/support. Most tracks wont carry the parts if you break........as an example, I drove to my local track a while back - 40 miles one way and paid my fee ($20). I hit a wall in my B44.3 with in 5 minutes. I had arms with me, but I also bent the hinge pin. The shop had the parts on hand for $8 and I was back up and running . The LC10B5 goes for $349. for $50 more you can have a EB410.2.....or even for $299, you can have a EB410. That extra $50 will pay off in the long run with driver set up sheets, part support, forums on FB, etc

    Hearing the chassis slap on the landings, that clay must be rock solid. Ouch!

    • @gpaje
      @gpaje Před 4 lety

      That's kinda how all clay tracks are. They are only soft after each track build, they the get hard. How soft you keep them after that depends on the situation. The harder/drier the track, the more wear and tear on the tires, but you got great grip. The more soft/wet the track, the less wear on tires but hard on grip. That's especially hard on 2wd buggies in moist conditions. As for the hard track hurting the chassis, not really. It takes a long time to wear out most chassis, usually by collision impacts. The hard track will wear out tires however.

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  Před 4 lety

      Yeah, most of it was my amateur driving, not hitting the landings...but hey, I'm improving! Like gpage said below, OCRC is a Clay track that has misters to keep is moist and hard, so tires last pretty good

      IMO, the Tekno was easier to drive. The TLR was nice, but it seemed fragile in comparison.

      I love my tekno 410.2. I just don't know which turn motor I like better a 5.5t or 6.5t.
      I thought so I just wasnt sure. Tekno makes a solid product easy to maintain and easy access to all 3 diffs.

      Wheels are such a consumable item in racing…..you’ll usually have 8-10 sets of wheels and tires at a race, depending on track conditions and how they get consumed by grippy tracks. It’s like the wings, no one bothers to paint them, as they get replaced every weekend
