It has nothing to do with discipline, it has to do with having zero interest with participating in something that makes us all disconnected with each other and with ourselves. It's called emotional maturity and growth. The fact that a lot of people see being off of social media as something that's "so hard to do" is a problem.
exactly. i have been off social media for 2 years and ive been so connected with others socially. although i still suffer from mental issues like anxiety and depression, im dealing with it.
I don't think social media in essence disconnects people, I think it really depends on the user or how you use social media. I know it has allowed me to meet more people but also learn more about different viewpoints on different matters in the world.
@@angelaortega1495 Absolutely I agree. Unfortunately a lot of people aren't able to disconnect/have a healthy relationship with social media. It's truly destroying the majority of society, especially the younger generations.
It has everything to do with discipline. It's about conditioning your mind to be determined on something you want. It's like me wanting to exercise but feels like giving up everytime I feel a little pain. In her case too it's definitely harder because she is a celebrity
Queen selena does so much for people. One of the few celebrities who does so much to give back. She's truly a blessing.
I really do feel this. I stopped when I got with my bf. I felt I was on my phone too much, too involved. 3 years, now I barely touch my phone when I'm out with anyone. I actually hate being on my phone for too long. It's not hard!!!! Social media is evil. I feel more confident, more happy.

It's harder in her case because celebrities use social Media to connect to the media to stay where they are. It's not really like you and I. She definitely had some discipline when it came on to it

I don't understand what's not clicking with you guys that she has people posting for her, NOT herself. Every celebrity has what's called a social media manager. I thought everyone knew this tbh.

It's always a positive when people take care of their mental health and realize what they can/cannot handle. I'm confused how TikTok isn't part of the internet though?

I cannot quit the Internet. I love the Internet. However, when it comes to social media such as Twitter/Tiktok/Facebook/Instagram that's a different story. I don't really care for them. My average browsing time on Instagram is 2 minutes or less. CZcams is my one and only social media platform that I use regularly.

Idk, if it is just the crazy fan in me speaking this or it is just what I have learnt from being a die hard fan of hers, is that, I have always hoped for the best for Selena. She probably do use her phone/internet for self-enjoyment sometimes. Like TikTok is a fun app for people to use to create content and to express, and tells story however they like.
I think what she means is she is not overly obsessing what other people think of her online, especially the media. Like she probably doesn’t use Instagram anymore - she probably let someone managing for her to promote more of her RARE makeup collection.
