  • Hey guys! Please read for more info:
First off, I made a mistake - in the beginning it says that I have a special video coming up Wednesday.... it'll be up Tuesday! :)
I'm sorry about the 'no voice-over' but I honestly thought it'd make more sense to just add a bit of information to this box, as the cookies are very quick to make and the steps repeat themselves over and over.
I basically used 3 shades of clay - light cookie dough, brown cookie dough and a very pale color for the almonds (light dough mixed with white).
The wet stuff you see me applying to some of the cookies is Fimo deco gel, but any brand of liquid clay will work. For the powdered sugar/flour effect I used white pastel,. For the jam inside the hearts on the second cookie I used liquid clay mixed with some of the left over raspberry clay from my "raspberry cake tutorial". You can also mix in some red and pink pastel :)
For the sugar I added white sand.
To shade the cookies I used my trusty soft pastels (the brand I use is Faber Castell)
Unfortunately I won't be able to post any more christmas videos this year - I've been really busy and haven't had a day off work since wednesday, so my plans for filming a tutorial in this weekend failed. I will make sure to get a lot more christmas tutorials up before the 25th of Dec. 2014
