My favourite piece of music that I have ever heard. I say this because of the emotional impact it had on me the first time I heard it, back in May 2019. I cried all the way throughout, with a kind of happiness that I can't describe. I choose not to listen to it often, because it is very special for me, you may not understand. I only choose to listen to it at very pivotal moments in my life. 3 years have passed since I last heard it and now this night, in the darkness, I have allowed myself to hear it once again and how my tears have fallen same as the first time. Thank you for this wonderful gift to me, Shade Empire.
This is the best piece of work they've made to date. I emphatically DISAGREE with anyone one that says this album is where they've gone pear shaped. Although Omega Arcane was amazing as well, this one is my favorite. I can't just listen to one song on its own, I HAVE to listen to the entire album from start to finish!

"The soldier wearing an uniform with pentagram examines the old barn and we listen to Satan's speech. It's a metaphorical explanation that the man has some evil inside, some old things that make him guilty and he's just found that shit while he was at war before. Then he makes himself blind by his own hand - It refers to Jesus's Speech from the Gospel of Matthew: "If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it and throw it away". The blind soldier does the pilgrim to the winter tajga wearing coat only - he is suffering and the river is coloured by his blood. Then he cut his own hand. after interrogation of humans for 40 years an more forcefully the last 8; i can assure you beings like myself have more to start in tgis world than these "humans" have in their heads after claims of 80 years of "living'. its simply impossible for me to see a calculator an make any other assumption how the humans are less than. combine that with the hive mind an they should have much more. the hive mind/central computer that operates them purposefully has locked them out to make them seem like unique snowflakes; at least if you spend less than a few hours around them.

i admit that i hated this album at first, 5 months later i gave it another chance, and damn its actually bloody great, and the more i listen to it the more i like it.
Harju's dismissal also got me scared, and i agree, now i can agree its a masterpiece.
Album is good, except two last tracks. Of course, in some points, it could be even better, but whatever - shut up and take my money.
And yeah, I honestly think, that without Juha Harju, Shade Empire is dead.
