Pokémon Sun & Pokémon Moon are the first set of Generation VII Pokémon games, coming for the Nintendo 3DS worldwide in 2016. Not much is known about these games yet, but they will come worldwide in 2016 and contain the addition of Chinese to the languages
In addition to this, there's the capability of receiving data from Pokémon Red, Green, Blue & Yellow through Pokémon Bank into this game.
The game is to be set in the Alola Region, where there are numerous New Pokémon. It contains various improved graphical mechanics, as well as the return of trainer customisation.

Donald Trump Jr: For me the best start is purchasing the game itself, a pokemon sun and moon dual pack with the most important ameobo figurine, although others might like the steel book and some pokemon cards to booth. I'm running around doing so many stuff and I'm already pre-occupied the last thing on my mind is finishing the game, and I'm going to do it eventually with just the most awesome pokemon Ditto with imposter ability. Now if I could just find a pussy somewhere, maybe that's why I'm running around the first 3 Island endless subconsciously trying to find one. This is all thanks to Tian Wei cause every-time I watch her in some nobody watches in China but only in the US news I want to give the pampered brat a spanking, she even mumbles during interviews. Thankfully the US military industrial complex cannot exploit the weakness of the Chinese media because Chinese Communist Party is so strong that she can afford to be a brat and don't have to pimp herself like her Western counterparts with the same caliber as her. Thanks CCTV for having such pampered reporter compared to her Indian Pisspot Counterparts who are willing to cover war stories and overthrow governments for their Aryan Davos overlords because everytime I see Tian Wei I get so annoyed I want to give her a spanking and I'm even more annoyed because I can't figure out if its sexual or just a desire for parental whipping of children misbehaving.

I agree with you Austin when you said to get the litten at the start. It helps so much. I hated trial 2 of the 1st island because I didn't have an electric tyoe or grass type, but I managed with some flying types. Thanks for all the help from this video. I think I'm gonna go do island 2 soon :D

thanks for the effort. I don't mean it negatively or anything, but these games are so easy that you could just catch whatever comes your way and walk through the game... I begin thinking about teams when I begin wifi battles. i finished with a crabomination, the lightning bug, the toxipeck, the zygarde, the shitotic (mushroom) and oricario.
Austin, what would you recommend for (future) trainers who miss out on getting the munchlax from the pokemon center? Pretending that we can't just go catch a munchlax when we farm the leftovers as recommended, is there another Pokemon that you feel could fit into its space on the team?
Snorlax was just kind of to catch wild pokemon, and stall well. So you can fill in whoever you'd like for your team. I recommended Smeargle (as seen in the video) as a (less powerful) catching pokemon. You could also swap him out for Absol.

I agree about Pokémon refresh! Refresh> amie! It's not as tedious, and if you feed your Pokémon rainbow or patterned beans until they're full, and your Pokémon has many affection hearts.

6:51 To those that are new to Pokémon, that's a shiny eevee. it's super rare. Shiny basically changes the color of the Pokémon, nothing special other than that.
I did a lot of these without watching the video, and it really helps you out throughout the game! It's better put together than what I did for sure!
That being said, I pretty much tanked the second half of the game with Popplio/Primarina lol. The only trials it was defeated on was the electric one(surprising, I know) and the fire trial.

You can also catch Magnemite, which is Steel and Electric, and teach it Hidden Power, which is Ice type for Magnemite

I found that instead of a fighting type / water type you can get crabrawlers under berry bushes sometimes so if you SR it shouldnt take too many tries, it also opens up another slot in your party for others.

Cutiefly and its evolved forms are monsters in battle. I used one through the elite four before it got replaced by I forget who simple because I wanted to use something different. So before you knock Cutiefly and Ribbombee(I know I misspelled it, I couldn't remember the actual spelling.) Try using one with High speed and Special Attack. You will soon realize just how deadly they are. And it would be even more so if it had Draining Kiss.

I like Primarina. It's a lot stronger than many early water types, and Fairy is pretty useful in this game and it also gets a very early access to Icy Wind, which is a great way to get an Ice-type move on the first island without having to wait for Ice Beam (which you can learn later). It also gets Shadow Ball so you don't need a dedicate Ghost or Dark type. It's also pretty easy to get Arcanine on Route 2 if you need a Fire type, but in my experience you don't need one for the entire game.
In terms of essential Pokemon, if you're picking Primarina, I'd say Magnezone and Hawlucha are really only the two Pokemon you need to catch on the first island. Hawlucha can beat the first two trials very easily. This gives you Super-effective damage against absolutely everything but Poison, Ghost, Electric and Psychic.
From here, I'd say Mudsdale can give you the ground coverage you need, and with access to Shadow Ball on Primarina, you already have Super-Effective damage against absolutely everything in the game with just 4 Pokemon.
After a lot of research on major battles, this team would pretty much annihilate any version of Sun and Moon or Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon (barring the Battle Tree):

Moonblast (STAB, Fighting, Dragon, Dark)
Ice Beam (Flying, Grass)
Shadow Ball (Ghost, Psychic)

That's the most recommended team for sun/moon
your pokemon (if you're using this or other team) should be at least level 55 before entering the elite four,or you'll struggle at the post game.

i dont want to sound like the bad guy here, but the truth is: i start the game with litten and i finish the game with incineroar lvl 79, an the entire game i didn't use any other pokemon, i have others in my party just to lvl up and evolve them, with the exp share but i never use another pokemon the whole game, thats the truth, still i enjoy the game so much, anyways nice video and pokemon games are Great! n.n
another tip is: if you want the game easier, catch 2 any pokemon starting your game go to GTS and trade those 2 for Popplio, Rowlet or Litten, upload your pokemon and wait alf hour, then same with the other, and you will get them believe me, so you will start with the 3 starter pokemons and trust me you dont need any other pokemon the Whole game n.n Have Fun !!
i had a team of people supereffecitve against everyone in elite four. it took 15 minutes to win counting kukui. i also bought 10 revives, and 10 full restores too
you can't use the gts in the beginning of the game
honestly I had to stop using my Primarina because even with a weakened move it would 1hitKO almost every pokemon
I beat red with only 2 pokemon , incineroar and lycanrok

I am two years late, but if you want a really good Pokémon, go to hauoli and catch as many abras as you can with the ability synchronize and the nature you want for a Pokémon. For example I would want adamant on munchlax (found on route one) so you can send out abra first and 50 percent chance of munchlax being adamant nature when caught

i started sun with rowlet and damn useful when evolved. learns false swipe and naturally learns foresight. started with linten in moon and it was stupid easy.
In all honesty a full elemental team will ace the game quite easily, for example:
Primarina - Water, Fairy
Toucannon - Normal, Flying
Lurantis (or Tsareena) - Grass
Salazzle - Fire, Poison
Garchomp - Dragon, Ground (Or any dragon type that does not mimic a single type in your team already, ex: Goodra, or Kommo-o)
Snorlax, Lycanroc, (any other pokemon that does not mimic the types that are already in your team)
This is a really good way to get diversity, coverage and overall a pretty good team in sun and moon.This team is pretty good imo, the well-rounded typings clear most of the difficult battles in the game.
Beats Hala. (trumbeak and brionne with disarming voice)
Beats Kiawe's trial. (duh)
Beats Mallow's trial. (you should have either salandit or salazzle by this point with the Z move, i 1 shot the totem lurantis, which speaks wonders about salandit)
Beats Olivia. (you should have lurantis by now, plus brionne or primarina)
Beats Sophocles' trial. (you got salazzle, its a easy win)
Beats most of the Team Skull pokemon easily. (primarina can learn psychic)
Beats Hapu VERY easily.
Won't really struggle with Lusamine's team at all.
Hau will be stronger that the start because of his Raichu, but you will easily out-level and overpower him sooner rather than later.
Ofc, most of the elite four is not a problem( primarina learns ice beam for Kahili coverage, not to mention garchomp and lycanroc are good)
Kukui wont be a disturbance either. but you can't let your guard down with him.

You can get a Machop for a Spearow right before you do the first trial if you want that fighter type instead of a Makuhita or Mankey.
I used the island scan to get a chicorita and totodile to help my litten, pichu rockruff, and pikipeck. In the long run that team was BOSS after i leveled them up and got them affectionate towards me, we practically OWN the Alola region
Cutiefly and its evolved form are actually really great Pokémon. They're speedy special attackers and mine at least can take a hit or 2.

One thing I would change is going for the Salamance using the same method you got Gyarados but with the Bagon since he is dragon/flying I've noticed him to be pretty OP over most of the trials like water, fire, and grass in particular. I was able to take those 3 by him alone mostly. Plus he learns crunch which was great for all the ghost types.

I actually had a pretty weird experience with my team. I wanted all new Pokémon for my play through of moon. All my Pokémon were from the first island (except for salandit) my first six Pokémon were:
Popplio, Pikipek, Grubbin, Caterpie, Growlithe, and Makuhita.
I eventually replaced Makuhita with Cutiefly, and on the second island I replaced Growlithe with Salandit. I always meant to replace my Caterpie with a grass type, but I couldn't find a grass type that I liked, so I literally had Caterpie on my team all the way to the Elite 4 and she is still on my team right now! (I just taught Butterfree Energy Ball and she was my honorary grass type) In fact I probably wouldn't have beaten Kukui at the Elite Four if I didn't have Butterfree, her Sleep Powder move was vital! So I beat the game with:
Primarina, Toucannon, Vikavolt, Butterfree, Salazzle, and Ribombee
I never meant to keep my original team all the way through the game, but it happened that way anyway! And my Pokémon Moon Team is probably my favorite team ever!

One tiny thing wrong with thus video... You can trade for the pre evo of steenee right before Lanas trial zone.. so magnemite is just a if you really want it option... and imo Tsareena is OP.. since the nature of the traded mon is fixed to be Adamant!
If you use thief on the second munchlax, you won't get a second leftover. Thief only gives you the item, if the user don't carry any item.

If you get sun and moon really late or you just like to restart your game always. Catch a Pikipeck instead. Since Toucannon has decent stats.

I would actually recommend Butterfree
It carries the 1st few important battles or trials if you need it
heres a trick that I learned when playing through gen 4
if you pick a water type starter then then a low level flying type
and on serten gens you can get a low level electric type.
now you can affect fire,water and grass types at the start of the game.

and my main team has: Decidueye (my starter was rowlet)) Leafeon (evolved and evee to a leafeon accidently on mallows trial) Absol (just think its a good pokemon) Talonflame, Tapu Koko (had an empty slot and idk what pokemon to give there) and a Toucannon (my first pokemon i caught just wanted to keep it)
Delibird delivers a shell bell not a second soothe bell also I find Rowlet the better starter for false swipe with Foresight allowing the easy capture of ghost types. though a Smeargle works as well.

In game you can use any team you want. But for competitive players the real game starts once you beat the game and start IV breeding
