IM 1" needle length 90* angle
SC 5/8th " needle length and 45* angle
vastus lateralis upper outer middle 1/3 of anterior thigh
leg must be bent and measure two fingers from inguinal area to top of knee area, place thumb on femur to know your anatomical location
inject into the most muscle mass area in this region.
DO NOT MASSAGE; it's painful and will likely cause the medication to divert to the subcutaneous layer instead.
Don't worry, we're all learning.
Idk why they ain’t show us how do these injections in my school…this video helped
thank you they didn't teach us this in medical assisting class and now im nervous when going to my extern site
you are awesome... The way you teaches us that's outstanding...!!
You never massage after injections
why not? Well, i never do but why shouldn’t one?
No, you should. It could prevent balls from forming
I just finished my MA program and was told to massage after inj
Well you better learn things correctly before spreading misinformations
Perfect love it, thank you so much I really learned allot.
Why would you massage after injection? It can cause bruising and skin damage.
Helps with absorption. I am studying for nclex and that was the rationale

She made it look so easy 😂
This doll looks real
Someone looking to verify what muscle you have used? That is the main point; you missed it to explain!
Nurse need to check what muscle is used only when administering medicine. This should NOT be done when vaccine as administered. I am not sure why, but it is recommendation by research.
Thanks buddy

What about multi I’m injects. Like 6 math receiving dtap, pcv 13 and then 1st flu
Since flu was new I put flu in left leg by itself, but how close can 2 im injections be given on the same site?
One inch apart.
aspiration?
Not necessary anymore
@@dret22 it is. Got taken back into RKI (german) recommendations since there were many cases of myocarditis. Other countries also got it back in their recommendations.
I thought so. It should have been aspirated first
