To be fair, I give PLARAIL credit for holding quality up to the last minute! Even overshadowing Bachmann, I’d say. Both Classic and CGI pieces are amazing…and others were weaker, but they weren’t awful. The AEG, but it’s not a mainstay. They have better scale to the original engines they’re based on than the actual show’s characters do.

Honestly Plarail’s quality is dwindling but it still is a good range, I do agree though that most if not all of plarails Recent Models are missing 50% of detail and the engines that were made that replaced other engines have literally not as much detail to the point were it makes it look abit low quality and abit cheap

I can't deny Plarail has lost its touch and is now dipping in quality. It pains me to say that because they used to produce good quality toys and Plarail is one of my favorite Thomas merchandise ranges. I want a new character made into Plarail like Daisy and Flying Scotsman, not a useless monkey Thomas variant.
All i certainly imagine is later, in 2045, all merch from 1986-2044 will be reproduced and be sold again, but only like 1000 of each product from each merch line

I agree that Plarail has dropped in quality. I wanted an Edward with a correct wheel arrangement and a white running board. Unless if the redesign it again, I have to stick with the older version with an unpainted running board.

Plarail fell off, IMO, they started to fall off in 2018. I personally never liked the CGI redesigns as they looked kinda mid. but other than the main 6, some of the others, like Connor, Caitlen, Hiro, and Steven were really good

I disliked plarail from its position 10 years ago and onwards. From good models based of off good characeters like donald, Sir handel, Diesel to the fat, cheap, overused, terrible CG characers and Rereleases. From the attractive dark blue model series Boxes, to the overly bright, unappealing CG style Boxes. From the Grumpy, industrial, realistic but still fun sets, to Boring, Bland, kitschy, rainbow bridgy, repetitive sets, Plarail has definitely lost their budget, to the point where we are the ones to apply the stickers, having about 129292k+ Thomas variants with alphabets and pointless face variants, and just missing the past in general.
I don't blame plarail ,I think they just redesign all the engine just because they have to follow the current Thomas series if only Mattel never make this stupid goofy ahh thomas series plarail wouldn't have to change anyting
