recently when playing i noticed that the flies will follow the player if they are starving. doesn't do anything but still a pretty cool/creepy detail
You mean follow the player when the player is starving or when the flies are starving . I haven’t played the game yet btw, I’m just going through a lot of videos about it right now cause i find it very cool and want to try it when I’ll have time.
@@aaazzz8324 When the player is starving, so if you hibernate/sleep without having enough food
@@im_quinn ah, okay. Yes, it's a pretty nice creepy cool detail then
Legend gourmand takes 1st spot hands down, homie pulls sticky time bombs from many years after his campaign, posseses two children, turns mushroms and mold into living beings, capable of one shotting basically everything, can make 1:1 replica of any item in the game never hearing of it before, travels from outer expanse to FP just to get a silly square, comes back, leads a whole species somewhere, raises a generation, cooks a nuclear bomb, eats it.
2:50 you know that if you put them in your shelter and hibernate, they will actually hatch and the baby noodle flies will follow you like you are their mother, but you can still eat them 🤌🤣. It's four free food points
You evil
I don't eat them that is too mean. But they always fly off and die anyway ;-;
@@sonwig5186 i dont even bother usually to get the eggs. But when im playing hunter and going through farm arrays i always eat them. Im not risking my limited life in farm arrays hunting for food. I hate farm arrays as hunter. Everywhere else is easier as hunter but farm arrays is my Mortal enemy. I usually just go through sky islands to pebbles later and eat some more noodle flies on the way. But i take The more peacefull route to outskirts sometimes too, well more peacefull for the flies because there are less eggs that way

I always imagined that Arti is a descendant of a purpose organism made by the ancients, but knowing that the canon explanation for her is garbage wastes acid alters my theory slightly. I think maybe she still is a descendant of a purpose organism that had minor explosive abilities and was made to work around acid, so it had an immunity to it. Arti still has a minor immunity to the acid and perhaps before the incident she mostly scavenged prey that had died in the acid. Ingesting this acid over a large period of time made her explosive abilities much more extreme as well as made her saliva corrosive. She can make explosive spears with this saliva and I imagine it just needs a small spark to become explosive. Idk, just thinking
My personal theory is that slugcats have some sort of compartment or chamber in their stomachs or throats that (likely unintentionally) let's them store small items by swallowing. My guess is that arti's stomach/throat pouch thing is so full of explosive and flammable matter that they can regugitate it on command to make bombs and explosive spears, or let it pass into the digestive system where it starts to react with the stomach acids and then explodes shortly after being crapped out (the rocket jump)
@@sleepdeprivedcactus Your theory makes a lot of sense but I love the implication that here rocket jump is just explosive farts lol
@@fennecishere more like shitting a grenade and it exploding behind you, but explosive farts is funnier
24:02 im pretty sure centipedes canonically kill for fun and eat smaller things like insects and probably plants
My headcanon theory about voidworms is something i read somewhere so i don't take credit for it but regardless here we go. Void worms are the echoes of past civilizations, where all echoes that remained on the earth eventually got burried under falling dust and sank into the voids sea. As they are tied to location this would obviously take a very long time, enough for them to be combined into a singular organism wether or not due to void fluid. This would make for a greater cycle of entire civilizations, seeing as there's lots of void worms. And gives an immense sense of time and history to rain world

8:22 Moon says gooieduck's are an "ancient mold" so they a mold.
9:53 I think developers patched the grapple worms being ignored by literally anything, I was playing just yesterday, passing through underhang, and I saw a lizard just snatching one on its way, though lizards still don't try to walk towards them.
Lizards don't actively seek them out but if they die they'll eat the dead ones.
@@clarfontheylizards will also eat grapples that stick to them
Meaning that lizards also feel annoyed from these mfs
@@clarfonthey It's only if lizard saw you drop it (lizards automatically move towards possible lizard food that was dropped by player), if lizard encounters just a corpse of grapple worm on their own, they wouldn't touch it
Lizards have an extremely low wants to eat relation with grapple worms. So, unless a slugcat offers it as a gift, or the grapple worm is right next to a lizard for an extended period of time, a lizard will ignore grapple worms.
@@Pebbsi_official
A vulture was chasing me at the chimney canopy room where the 2 buggies(grapple worms) spawn and both of them grappled to the ground then at the vulture. Vulture angrily snatched a grapple worm and attempted to fly but then it realised there's a second one. It was fuckimg amusing to watch the vulture but then I decided to put it out of it's misery.
Strawberry lizards actually get colder as their fur gets covered in snow, theoretically giving camouflage but in gameplay just makes them colder
Also green lizards are the only species that canonically went extinct, since none can be found in Saints timeline
Green lizards are to bad at catching prey
Something with jet fish is that they will accidentally kill their friend if your holding said friend and basically using the jet fish’s bro as a sheild, they will also kill themselves on random crap like walls or slugcats, or other jet fish
I love how comment somerhing is immortal and then put mortals above it on the list 😂
i feel like green lizards should be ranked lower because they do go extincted in saint campain
3:31 why is this text about Train/Red Lizards in the bug section :P
lol editing error! its meant to say "correction: dragonflies are hardcoded to be blue in sky islands and are green in any other region"
A few thoughts on the tierlist:
-spore puffs are probably fungus spores that spread when the puff bursts, so throwing one just spreads the spores
-no creature except for slugcats eats eggbug eggs so them dropping their eggs when they die is probably
a good strategy
This is a very good video with a lot of interesting opinions! Great job bala!
I literally layed in my bed trying to concentrate so badly on what creature was on top 1.

id personally rank all versions of gourmand higher than they are in ur list, like they can literally craft singularity bombs and deflect spears headed their way just by rolling or sliding, that deserves at least *some* credit u kno?
some of these placements feel extrememely off to me, but I applaud you for spending the time to rank this many of ANYTHING and not only have a fairly coherent result, but be able to make an entertaining video from it
I feel like miros birds should be given more credit given that they survived an ENTIRE SUPERSTRUCTURE WITH A CITY ON TOP OF IT falling directly on them

what about rubicon guardians? id rank them seperatly from depths guardians, as they have different abilities and behaviour.
ranking the background bugs and plants is a weird form of dedication
Why no slugcats? They hunt in groups of 16 individuals and can kill almost every creature
0:50 Maybe the seeds of glow weed and slime mold are inside the part you eat, and when you shit it out, a new plant of that species starts growing, some irl plants do that

NOOOO Background Plants deserve to be at the top :(
16:38 this dude simply just doesn’t give a fuck. “Dude, what’s your problem??”

I had a grapple worm that grappled onto a dll, preventing it from moving towards my location, actual gigachad
I remember my first time and only time finding the stowaway and I was so confused
For plants gettting eaten and excreted is how they reproduce. That's why fruits evolve to be tasty. Glowing is an excellent survival trait for the plant as a species, though granted not so much for the individual fruit
Babe wake up balagaga posted!
actually SoS is weaker than other puppets because she can only do weird beams while FP can oneshot you with no chance to dodge

I think legend Gourmand is canon because we see him appear in the ending cutscene in the food quest ending. We also see him in the survivor and monk opening cutscenes. We also know Gourmand is canon because he opens the gate to outer expanse for the campaigns after him in the timeline.
I had a King Vulture spawn in the King Scavenger's arena. The Scavenger killed it, even though I already damaged him. But he got pinned to the wall by the vultures gun-spear, and that's how I managed to finish Artificer's campaign after a 20th attempt 😅.
Anyway, that makes for the evidence the King Scav is stronger or close to the King Vulture. At least given he has access to explosive spears.
Balagaga will you continue with workshop content?
Weren't blue fruits actually batfly cocoons?
That little detail would put it a bit higher in my opinion but it was ignored in the video...
I think that some of those things go above king vultures, you can drop them pretty easily if you’re not in the open, I think at least the red lizard beats it (though not sure)
In sandbox it doesn’t, the king vulture nomomoms it

I saw stowaway in one cycle. I thought it was a bug since all I saw was inspector like thing just vanished to ceiling as I entered a room
'Non-lethal' shock defense. as someone who has been killed by a tiny centipede. i can confirm, it is not harmless. just nearly harmless
Miros birds, daddy long legs, terror long legs, and levitation can actually eat them tho of course they don’t live together.
Lot of bugs which i never knew even existed in the game
9:23 omg the watcher is real! take a photo of me with him
wait no the reason arti gets the ability to make the bombs and bomb spears is bc they KEEP the acid w/ them at all times (edit): they hold up the scavengers corpses and the gates read it as 1 organism, combining the 2 karmas
The scavangers actually eat raindeers
Why are you so mean :(

I'm insane i need help. I read the title as "ALL CREATURES NAKED"

moths? I thought those were infant batflies cause they usually appear batfly homes
I feel as though ther is SO much more in rainworld that isnt visable ever like it being some system behind karma that is never really explained. I know that what i say does like make no sense at all, at this point i just write my thoughts
19:54 oh man i saw like 3 IN A PLACE THAT I DONT THUNK THEY CAN EVEN SPAWN AND A TRAIN LIZARD I DIDNT SPAWN THEM IN MY RIVULET SAVE WAS NORMAL
Thats to do with the lineage system! I think. Not sure if TLs count. but to explain! So when you kill a lizard, for example, there's a chance a different variant will spawn. This includes one not available in campaign. So say you kill a pink lizard in Survior campaign, a Red one could take its place!
Does ascended Saint get like number 2, because the only thing that could actually stop Saint is the eldridge being void worms
I do want to say something about overseers. Scavengers will try to kill them, probably for their eyes.
So i don't know why Miros Bird is ranked below Fire Bug. They seem to eat them fine.
30:02 UNO reverse
You put scavengers far to low, the only things that on are able to consistently kill them are truly apex creatures like red lizards, red centipedes, king vultures, miros vultures, and artificer
12:25 pause!?!
I guessed the void worm cuz it’s super big.
Okay, wait, why does Arti have similar parts to Silco’s back story from Arcane? 😂 (only some parts)

Why is it that nobody knows the "fruit" in game are actually bat pupa.
every downpour slugcat have one or more features that are stupidly op, even inv. That makes me angry
Why would you rank slime mold as if those are separate beings and being eaten means death to them. Maybe they want for their "fruits" to be eaten for their seeds to spread somewhere.
36:45 what do you mean **assume** ? what the [*BLEEP*] are you suggesting?
what is a stowaway? I have never seen it, i’ve already played half of the campaigns. I didn’t even see it in arena.
They are very rare, and mostly spawn in Saint, the last campaign
well, that explains it.
@@starofthestorm8922 do you know those enemies from Half life that stick to ceilings and grap you as you walk under them? That's was a stowaway is

WHERE IS THE LEVIATHAN
OK it's a little embarrassing you don't know the blue fruits are bat larvae 😂 but they still hang pretty low
You missed train lizards and painage system snails :^)
train lizards are at 26:31, and painage system snails have the exact same rank as normal snails. i think train lizards should actually be ranked as weaker than red lizards, because of how slow and clumsy they are combined with their lack of any meaningful abilities. they're about 1.3 times more durable than red lizards, but 1.3 times 0 is still 0. they also attack each other more often than reds and their territorial fights with one another are almost always fatal, meaning that there's never more than one train alive in a room, and the train in question is always severely injured.
@@RakeV8 painage system snails have the ability to appear out of thin air, and kill pretty much everything with their lethal explosions. they are certainly much higher than normal snails. I'd put them just above garbage worms since the only real danger to the snails are other snails. and even if you kill them more will come.
Train lizards are fast. they are the fastest lizard. they don't always move as fast as they can and can be a little clumsy. I think you are forgetting that we aren't talking only about the train lizard vs inv matchup. the train lizard will absolutely destroy any red lizard, and kills anything the red lizard can. if that doesn't put them above reds i don't know what will. the only thing the reds have that train lizards don't is the spit and tongue, which were more of an annoying part of red lizards and isn't the main reason they are so strong, its because you can't flip them with a rock, which is also true for trains. 0 durability? just because inv has eggs doesn't impact the train lizards durability. there are other things they can fight.
@@zergrush8709 you absolutely can flip brains with rocks. i've tested it in game, and i even looked through the code and found nothing protecting brains from rocks. and despite having the highest speed stat, train lizards in practice have the same speed as reds because they share the same unique walk cycle as red lizards. in fact, because of their high body mass and sheer stupidity, trains usually lag behind and reds end up being faster. but despite having the highest body mass of any lizard, it's still not enough to protect them from getting carried off by powerful vultures. king and miros vultures regularly hunt them. also they get absolutely bullied by scavs on a daily basis. i regularly see scavs gang up on brains and tear them to pieces for kicks and giggles. i'm not joking or exaggerating when i say this, it only takes 8 scav spears to kill a brain, and that's assuming the brain has full health, which it never does because they're always severely injured. also they start to slow down after 2 or 3 spear hits, and just like other lizards their limbs can be permanently broken with a well-timed spear, which renders them extremely vulnerable for the duration of the cycle. but at least they're immune to centipede shocks, right? wrong. any centipede, even infant ones, are capable of *instantly killing* brains if they shock them underwater, which is possible in certain rooms. but at least they're immune to all lizard bites, right? also wrong. tamed lizards can still attack and kill them. i think when people call them "joke enemies" they're referring to how their entire existence is a joke. train lizards are pathetic and desperately need to be balanced.
@@RakeV8 well i certainly didn't find anything about inv to be a joke because it was so easy. it was a joke because of how insanely difficult it is. the only relatively easy part was industrial complex, but not because trains are easy but because the top left of industrial has practically 0 enemies and a shelter that never fails. the rest of inv was misery including dealing with train lizards.
I think you are overanalyzing this and you could probably make the same argument for any creature. "oh but in x specific situation this creature dies" like no kidding, there are tons of situations like this for every creature, even red lizards, even legend gourmand. I've never seen a dead or even visibly injured train that I didn't personally nuke with an egg. And the main thing that I hear people say when they talk about train lizards is that they are overtuned, op monsters.
@@zergrush8709 i agree that industrial complex is easy as inv, mostly because almost every lizard is replaced with the weakest subspecies, but every other inv region was absolutely nightmarish and annoying just to be in, with a gimmick designed to make the game as unreasonably hard as possible. the people who say train lizards are overpowered are actually just bad at the game. the age-old "skill issue". they are the same people who find it difficult to throw hands with reds. there's a mod that gives train lizards their electric shock ability that they had in the hurricane mod, making them more fair and just generally better. they're still weak, but at least better than they are in the base game.
