Hi friends!
I have no experience in gardenning or anything similar. I just did my research and started watching videos. Then, I started my Vegetable Garden at the end of last fall (2023) with the aim of producing our own food, without contaminants and in a natural way.
A month into growing I harvested my first radishes... and so I harvested as everything was produced. Until I had a great harvest. I'm so excited! I was convinced that in a short time I could produce a very high percentage of what we eat.

The results after 6 months are truly admirable, the cauliflower plants did not expect they could grow so big, the carrots are also excellent. Are the white pellets in the soil small pebbles or what?

The little white balls in the soil are small light rocks called Perlite that you put in the soil to improve drainage, so the soil doesn't flood. You can find it at any nursery or at Homedepot or Lowes. Make sure it's organic. 😊

Así yo empezando mi huerto, jamás me fanatice en las modas pero esto está de tendencia y sí que vale la pena empezar a cultivar tus propios alimentos, además de que se siente bien bonito familiarizar con la naturaleza es mejor comer algo que tu misma sabes que como creció y lo mejor de lo mejor orgánicamente ❤ saludos desde sur Mexico 🇲🇽

Luego, me atreví a hacer dos camas de cultivo, compre compost y tierra fértil. Pero aun estoy aprendiendo.

Pois estou começando, e há 5 meses , tudo orgânico, luto contra pragas nos tomates, não colhi 1 k. 😢 também não consegui colher beterraba.

Eu uso adubo orgânico de farinha de sangue e farinha de ossos. Eu compro em sacos de 4 libras na Amazon. Também faço coisas caseiras como café, cinza, leite dissolvido em água, etc. Eu uso farinha de sangue com vegetais folhosos apenas no início, quando transplantei mudas, e uso farinha de ossos para raízes como beterraba. Eu uso composto de boa qualidade e minhocas e adiciono perlitas orgânicas ao solo para melhorar a drenagem.
Se você tiver interesse, posso te passar o link ou detalhes do fertilizante caso você queira comprá-lo. Apenas me avise. 😊

Organic blood meal and bone meal at different stages of growth. I also use ash and ground coffee.
I burn wood at home to make ash and I use the coffee leftover I make at home. Not too much coffee because the soil will be acidic. 😊

Hola! 😄 Yo vivo en el centro de la Florida. Aqui el clima es muy conveniente. Hay dias de mucho sol y calor pero regularmente el clima es favorable. Pues mira, en mi opinion no creo sea buena idea poner un huerto debajo de un árbol, hay algunas planta que necesitan horas sol. Otras no, hay muchas que sii se dan espectacular en la sombra. No soy experta en huerto pero lo que creo conveniente es que consigas una maya o cover que disminuya el calor sofocante en las plantas. Recientemente yo compre 2 en Amazon. En mi proximo video te puedo mostrar como la instalé con tubos pvc. 😊

Well, I actually buy Neem oil and prepare homemade pesticides that have been recommended to me. I have very little experience with pests, perhaps because of the short time I have been growing food (8 months), but I prepare the garlic oil, I use milk on the plants, ash, etc. 😊
