Caretaker set up to Keep Imran Khan out? & provide Safe Exit to Nawaz Sharif? | Another Failed Idea?

  • Long term Caretaker setup? Idea is not new. This is a decades old fascination that a govt of technocrats can do strong and professional decision making to set economy on the right track. Unfortunately there is no evidence to back the argument. Forget caretaker govt, even martial laws of Gen. Zia and Gen. Musharraf were not able to take needed but unpopular decisions like Kalabagh Dam and selling off loss making state owned enterprises like Steel Mills or PIA.
This appears to be a plan to keep Imran Khan and PTI out of power system for another 12 months or more and give a safe exit to Nawaz Sharif's PMLN because if elections are held in next 90 or 100 days then PMLN will have serious set back in Punjab and its myth of a poplar Punjabi party will be broken for ever.
Idea of Technocratic govt for 2.5 years is a joke

Moeed: I have a suggestion for your consideration.
I'm given to understand that there are standing orders from the CJP to one of his subordinates' that apart from the daily eye agencies reports..... every morning he should put up separately the salient features of few opinion makers and media commentators regarding what they have said in the last 24 hours. You are one of the person whose knowledge based content, incisive analysis and faithful nationalistic approach is given weightage by the CJP.
I think it's about time, you get hold of personal email address of CJP and as a knowledgeable concerned Pakistani who has his finger on the pulse of Pakistani politics, and its international ramifications start writing personal emails to him highlighting issues facing Pakistan with your recommendations to correct the situation. With the type of respect CJP carries for you in his heart he will ponder upon your suggestions. I don't think there is a need to expect any reply from him but as a patriotic Pakistani you have done your duty by bringing up the burning issues with correction recommendations on the table of the most powerful person in the higher echelons of the country. OR ELSE, start sending letters to the CJP via snail mail at his personal residence. I have done this with few erstwhile CJPs and it works.
Give your mind to the CJP on this non starter..... Technocratic Setup issue.
    Ciao.

Well said Dr Adam Khan, living in foreign countries and following local news. As an immigrant, when I compare the US and Pakistan , I can easily see the difference. Here in the US , when someone files a petition again for any rule or when any organization files a case against the rule of law , the judge's duty is to check laws under the constitution and they have a right to reject them .
Pakistan is little different. We do not have states, we have provinces, and this way supreme court duty gets double, Supreme court duty to check any law made in parliament / or out of parliament to see conflict with the constitution, if one hand constitution said something and law is something, it’s totally wrong and supreme court should fix this instead of taking a side of acting like a party.
It is said that this all comes across to one point, and raises the question, do we have a democracy in Pakistan ?
The judiciary has to come strong to free itself first, and then, in this country, they have power, but they are not loyal or scared or something.
As in the previous vlog of Dr Moeed when Imran Riaz Khan was in jail , one of the judge when he wrote his judgment, according to Dr Moeed , it was fantastic work by the judge , so this is all we want. We need an honest , educated , smart judiciary .
The judiciary's job is to protect the constitution and laws and peoples rights , why we always need to knock on the door , why they cannot do their job perfectly. As I always say , we are not loyal any more , it's all about money , who makes more at the end of retirement , and this is the race in our country , if its army / judiciary / politics .
The vision of Dr Moeed and his analysis is fantastic. He might be wrong about most, but we need speakers like him to come openly and talk about things , small or big , everyone must come in front and contribute and show concern about the country we love the most .

      Hi !
do we really believe CJP, can challenge people who have muscular power. We should not forget that when IK dissolved NA, CJP was forced to open their court at midnight. Writing to CJP seems very nice ideas and made me believe that we are watching Indian romantic movie and an emotional speech change girl's father heart.
CJP knows really well that he is up against ruthless people and there are no values expect what they believe is right.
Don't forget Moeed himself is in exile.
      Arshad Sherif is killed.

My advice for public is don’t waste time on any of these power players. Make your own small cooperative societies and run them like mini states involving all shades of political spectrum. Take care of one another remaining sensitive and loyal to all segments of society. Generate your own economic activity, your own security devices (organisations), without involving or expecting much from people in power.
You have already wasted valuable 8 months on roads with sheer uncertainty and still the destination is so illusive. Be responsible people and take your fates into your own hands.

@DrAdam Khan A good suggestion indeed however I suppose it’s crystal clear in SC’s eye who is right and who is wrong for the past few months. SC is under a huge pressure and it’s been evident since a number of issues went past without attracting SCs notice; it can’t be an error of judgement, perhaps not so many times! Their is something pressing enough from GHQ which is holding back SC from taking S Moto notices. It’s very likely that care taker govt might actually be put in place whilst SC not taking any notice of that. However, there is no stopping from emailing them your concerns, despite they might go in vain.

This all is about keeping Imran out of the political game. They think in 2 years Imran will lose popularity and momentum. International players and local country systems don't want Imran in the rule. Further, this will give a safe exit to PLMN and they will be free from all mess they have created in 8-9 months, people will forget their negative impacts on Pakistan's political, and economic situation and overall on society. The interim government will then stand for all mess.

They will keep on scratching each other’s back without any regard for the country.

Pakistan has been under technocrats for the last 70 years, even with them the economy will further dwindle. It’s a matter of confidence of financial world, within and outside Pakistan and that can only be achieved by the fair and free elections. The new powerful political set up must get rid of or make certain amendments to keep establishment out of the political system. Those days are gone when technos can survive.

Strong military to tackle the growing menace of terrorism and strong legitimate government to control worsening economic situation. A caretaker setup will further downgrade military's image in general population as they will have to bear the brunt of unpopular and harsh economic decisions. Bailing out sharifs at the sake of country will be biggest crime military will commit if so happens. I hope it doesn't.
