      I got a question about collecting them, Because i were searching for the booster box he talked about in this video but could not find it anywhere on internet to buy only boxes you could buy for like 100 dollar and then you get 8 boxes. Isnt there a way to just buy 1 or 2 boxes.

    I have to say, these are some of the most impressive and useful videos in all of table top gaming. Your production value, clarity of voice and sound, clarity of instruction, and enthusiasm for heroclix is beyond impressive. Thank you so much, please keep up the amazing videos. I will always share these videos with anyone wanting to learn Heroclix, like me, as they are the best.

    You've made my life so much easier as I can just send people this video when they ask about it - thank you :')
    Great production value makes a huge difference as most people just sort of hold figures up and you can barely see them. Also, while I haven't been looking since I've been playing since the start, I haven't seen other people makes this specific video, only "how to play" tutorials which are about an hour long.
    Love the game, though they don't exactly make it easy for new people to pick it up. I'm always asked by friends I introduce it to if there's a rulebook they can look at and I have to explain that there is but... it's like 28 pages and it's not correct anymore.

    great intro! i saw your other vids and have some suggestions. you didnt really explain HOW to attack. if you plan on this being a full series id like to see seperate vids for map terrain, attacks, size differences and even all the powers. like all red powers in one vid, all orange, all yellow etc. great work! subd and liked! cant wait to see what else you do!

    • @TheTabletopTeacher
      @TheTabletopTeacher  Před 7 lety

      Thank you, Alex... Love your suggestion. I will definitely explain how to in the series and I think I will roll that up with the nuances around Power Actions and Combat (Close or Ranged) Actions. There's so much to explain in this game! I'm not sure about grouping powers by colors, though. From a learning standpoint, the choice of color to identify each power is somewhat arbitrary and I'm not sure it helps to understand the powers... If you take the grey powers for instance, there's no link per se between Running Shot, Telekinesis, Invulnerability and Leadership. I only found three characters that have these powers on the same click (Cable from the Deadpool seires, and two older versions of Green Lantern). Map terrain (along with destroying objects and walls) and size differences are among the topics I want to talk about soon. Thanks again for your suggestion and your constructive input!

    So I feel I got the hang of it ready to go against myself now the problom is some of my teams are unbalanced or say so like one may have a hundred point and one may have a 95 point in there team does it make a difference because in the end I tried making 2 teams have 4 people each wish I had more 50 s and see how a big battle goes but I know small armies and large ones work but I don't want one to be over power to each other

    • @TheTabletopTeacher
      @TheTabletopTeacher  Před 6 lety +1

      A 5-point difference will not really make teams unbalanced. Like in any game, there are weaker figures, OK figures, strong figures and overpowered figures; IMHO, that's where balance is really found (or not). The player's experience is also a huge factor, of course. But don't worry too much about a team being 5 or even 10 points lower than another one... That's rarely a game changer when you start playing. I would strongly suggest getting more figures so you can build a couple of 300 point teams, though (aim for 3 or 4 figures per team).

    • @TheTabletopTeacher
      @TheTabletopTeacher  Před 7 lety

      Thanks for your question, Matt. My suggestion is to get the latest starter set. Right now, this would be the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles starter set. You'll get the latest printed rules, Powers an Abilities card and much more. You could also go for the Superior Foes of Spider-Man Fast Forces, but you'll have to print your own rules and Powers card. I really think you're better off with the TMNT starter and, if you can, throw in at least a couple of Gravity Feed boosters for fun.
      Let me know how your first game went... Have fun!

    • @mattbaird3190
      @mattbaird3190 Před 7 lety

      I was looking at both, was considering a Stater pack and a whole box of gravity boosters. But Uncanny Xmen and Foes look good, But not sure where I would find maps or what not.

    • @TheTabletopTeacher
      @TheTabletopTeacher  Před 7 lety

      Sometimes, game shops have extra maps for sale. You can find some on eBay as well, if need be. But a nice Powers and Abilities card is really nice to have... I'd say, get the TMNT starter set and then splurge on whatever other set speaks to you. Foes is a great choice and all your character cards would printed in the same way (with dial values on the back).

      What you're talking about is one of the main missions of the game shop I'm about to open. People who want to play Heroclix (and other games), can't always easily find fellow players. "La boutique Tabletop" will be such a place where you can learn to play games with other people who share your curiosity. The thing is, not everybody can make the trip to St-Joseph-du-Lac, Quebec, Canada. But I'm sure that if you mention your interest for Heroclix at your FLGS, they just might try to recruit some more players. It doesn't have to be a competitive league to be fun!
