Hard to believe considering how terrible Scotland is now but Scotland had a huge contribution to the early development of football. Massive crowds of over 100,000 at games were not uncommon back in the 1920’s . Long before many places even knew what football was. They got left behind in modern times though . Partly due to EPL sucking any interest and potential revenue and partly due to general mismanagement. It’s only a country of 5 million after all.
