I had the same problem happen to me and my cousin, but fortunately I managed to back up all of our non corrupted data on a USB drive and restore everything.

yo denk if you have ps plus and you have auto upload to storage turned on there should be a secondary save in the playstation storage if you have ps plus. Check it and make sure if you do. Also bug fan.
It happens when you download someone with more than 14 logos from community creations. They fixed this in the patch yesterday but this video was obviously made before the patch unfortunately :/

Remember when they had to release games without horrible game breaking bugs, because there was no way to patch them, and if there was a bad bug it would just kill the game?.. Stuff like this makes me think we should go back to days like that... Even if your development process somehow allows for the possibility of this happening, a AAA title should check if you've broken a save every time you modify it, and conduct a rollback if you have. Stuff like this shouldn't happen unless you've gone in and modified a save by hand somehow, or there's a physical hardware failure.

Same thing happened to me a few days ago, I went to go download Ember Moon from Community creations and the whole game crashed and all my stuff got corrupted and I lost all my stuff so I had to redo everything again and I'm still currently recreating some of the stuff that I've lost...

The problem, if you didn't know was that a character was downloaded with 15+ logos and the game crashed while it was saving which corrupts the data. The same happened to me and when I got my (outdated) data back from the cloud, I downloaded the character again and nothing happened. It was patched, but the damage is already done. At least we get a new Phenomenal Forearm, right?
