Iâve recently become a big fan of sour candies, but I go for the Atomic Warheads! I actually learnt from my therapist that some people will eat a sour candy if feeling anxious/dysregulated to help âresetâ yourself , your focus switches swiftly to the overwhelming sour . Of course not a magic pill lol but Iâve found it to be a helpful (and kind of fun) habit to have sour candies in my purse :p
Hey don't throw them away! (The not so sour ones) because you can literally go to the pickling section at the grocery store and get citric acid powder, and can add a tablespoon (or tablespoon and 1/2) in the bag, and it gives them that normal zing of normal ones!
Interesting! Growing up in Canada, it seems a lot of these gummy candies have changed company names over time. The Sour Cherry Blasters, Fuzzy Peaches, and Sour Patch Kids were all available in Canada and went under their specific names until the early 2000s, then under the Maynard's (wine gum) brand, then now it seems all the sugary coated candies have come under the Sour Patch Kids name.

I'm Canadian and those Sour Cherry Blasters were like a top-tier candy when I was a kid! I still love them! It's actually only fairly recently that they've been incorporated into the Sour Patch Kids brand. When I was growing up in the 90s and 00s, they were marketed as their own thing, separate from Sour Patch Kids. This is the same case with the grape candies in this video too. Weirdly, we also have those same peach candies here in Canada (at least they look similar), but although they're made by the same company that makes Sour Patch Kids, they're still marketed as "Fuzzy Peaches" without the Sour Patch branding. Not sure why they're still marketed separately and the other two aren't. But all three are Canadian classics for sure!
The red sour patch is my favorite because once you get the sour off, it tastes like a Swedish fish!
Iâm not sure if it has actually been confirmed or not, but I suspect that they use the same gummy recipe because one time I found a âSour Patch Swedeâ (Swedish Fish with sour powder) in a bag of Sour Patch Kids.
Sour patch kids actually only arrived in Australia in 2014 so I have no childhood memories associated with them, in fact I canât even be sure Iâve tried them. Sour candy doesnât seem to be as prevalent in Aus as some other countries which is maybe why ours arenât as sour.
Sour patch watermelon is my all time favorite candy. It is perfection in every bite!

Sour Patch Kids makes a cola bubbles flavor that I found at Dollar Tree!
I've eaten so much sour candy at once, my whole mouth was raw.
Eating ketchup was like eating lava from a volcano.
I love Warheads, Air Heads and every other sour candy out there.
I crave pickles, lemons and other vinegary, fermented foods as well.
My mouth healed and I still have plenty of Warheads left.
I think it's worth the raw mouth.
Besides it heals really fast.

The "Canadian" sour patch kids you ate are sour cherry blasters, a totally different candy. We have sour patch kids, they look the exact same as the American ones, including the newer blue one. Maybe Maynards has renamed some of them in parts of the country, or I just don't pay attention to the names when I grab the candy.

In Argentina we have our kinda version for those gummies, they are branded as Mogul Extreme, you should try them. They are fruit mix, lemon and blueberry flavored.

I like eating 2 different colors at once to make different combos. My favorite is blue and red. And I love watermelon anything so definitely like getting that one as well.
Love it!!!! Sour Cherry Blasters are amazing, I buy them every month or so up here in Canada, also Swedish Berries, Fuzzy Peaches, and Sour Patch Kids random special editions, the tropical ones were nice too, coconut was wonky lol.

Fun Fact: The red Sour Patch Kid & Swedish Fish are the same flavor & candy type (both made by MondelÄz International, Inc), only difference is that Sour Patch Kids get the sour coating. Also the red Sour Patch Kid is more of a raspberry flavor.đ

That doesn't seem right, Swedish fish are a much stiffer candy, they're my favorite but I can't eat them any more bc of my tmj issues but sour patch kids are softer and I can eat them without so much pain.

We found sour patch kids lip balm for my daughter for Christmas and as far as kids lip balm goes, they did a great job. Especially with red and green which are my favorites :)

You can actually get black currant flavored gummies here in the states! The Haribo Twin Snakes have a sour black currant flavor and it's delicious!
A bit nervous about eating spk rn. I bought a box last week and there must have been a mix up at the factory bc the red were actually cinnamon and I had an allergic reaction at 3:30 in the morning. Normally love them though! (And yes it was just a regular box not a special edition!)

So good, one time I was mindlessly eating one of the pound bags as I binge watched TV during the beginning of lockdown. I ate 1/3 of the bag until my tongue started to bleed đ it was my favorite mix the red white and blue so good! That pineapple flavor is great.

I love the watermelon slices, they're some of my fave vegan gummies. I loove real watermelon more but the flavour of those have, though they absolutely stick to my teeth.
As an Aussie, I love sour patch kids, and I love all of the flavours and the natural tastes, but I love mine really sour, I generally add more citric acid to them, great video Emmy, cheers from Melbourne Australia đŠđș

I agree with not liking certain flavors of candy that taste artificial. That's how if feel about grape flavored candy. The only grape flavored candy I liked as a kid was Bubblicious gum. In fact, brand was my favorite as a kid. I loved the grape, orange, watermelon and strawberry flavors. These days, though my candy intake is limited, I love blue raspberry and even just regular raspberry flavors as well as strawberry
As long as they don't have that artificial taste.
I've always preferred the space kids and scuba ones over the original ones, but maybe that's because I've only ever had the Australian ones. I would be interested to try the American ones now though
