In the trailer you see a ripped up tank. These monsters can tear apart metal. The real way to write it is that the men have to come out of the tanks eventually to get food, water, fuel and ammo. Those jets have to land eventually etc.
You know.. one thing I can't stand about movies is the total misunderstanding of guns and how they work. Sure.. maybe normal 9mm rounds can't penetrate. Maybe it can even stop some rifle rounds.. but they completely ignore the blunt force trauma. That energy has to go somewhere. Especially if I shoot it with a 12 gauge slug. A few rounds in succession will hurt. Then there are 50 cal tungsten rounds.. sure, the civilians might not have those in mass.. but our government does. Ever see what a 30mm chain gun can do to a tank? .. come on.
And they still breathe, so there's also a plethora of things that could kill them, like chemical weapons and poisons. Mustard gas is probably a really easy one. Since they also hunt by sound, you'd have ways of making them permanently deaf. We even see in the ending of the other movie how they die from a specific frequency, but even without that, many sound based weapons could be easily devised, including microwave weapons, as those can bypass the armor entirely. There's also other ways to pacify them, like industrial glue that hardens quickly, could spray to soak them, even combined with an expanding foam to help trap them. They can't do anything if they can't move. Then there's other even simpler ways, such as simply just drowning them by creating pool traps that can close up on them. There are all kinds of ways to deal with them. Mouse trap style things with giant thick metal bars that can snap shut, pinning them. Heavily armored vehicles that has spray nozzles on the outside for the glue to drip down the sides, and as they attack it, they get glue all over them, either sticking to the vehicle, or sticking to themselves, or whatever else, incapacitating them.
Such LAZY writing what a shame why make the creatures impenetrable? if they were so indestructible why didn't they stay on there home planet? Even dinosaurs skin is penetrable. A fun movie but that aspect always annoyed me. Like why not give humanity a fighting chance maybe the skin could be penetrable but they still have super strength ect. They seem like they should have died off out in space if they just killing everything what would they eat? how would they survive? your telling me an alien species lands on earth and is perfectly adapted to the environment?
Do you think the aliens meant to leave their planet? This is an apocalyptic movie, and the plot is about people surviving in this apocalypse. If the humans won, there would be no apocalypse and no movie. And I don’t know why you think they’ve adapted. You said it yourself, they kill almost everything. And the only thing they have “adapted to” is not killing natural things. And in the city, there are not many natural things. The mysteries of the creatures in Quiet Place, like where they came from, are interesting and I’m glad they don’t explain every little thing, because it’s fun and interesting. So when you see the movie for the first time, it’s surprising. Movies like Jurassic World and Quiet Place are different, and you can’t complain that they aren’t exactly alike.

Btw almost all movies from this genre, have similar scenes.; The war of the worlds, Independent day, I am a legend, World war Z.....just to name the couple. You can not improvise, or be original. Blowing out cities is always the same, there is not much they can do,explosions, fire and smoke, chaos..same but not copied

In the trailer you see a ripped up tank. These monsters can tear apart metal. The real way to write it is that the men have to come out of the tanks eventually to get food, water, fuel and ammo. Those jets have to land eventually etc.

You know.. one thing I can't stand about movies is the total misunderstanding of guns and how they work. Sure.. maybe normal 9mm rounds can't penetrate. Maybe it can even stop some rifle rounds.. but they completely ignore the blunt force trauma. That energy has to go somewhere. Especially if I shoot it with a 12 gauge slug. A few rounds in succession will hurt. Then there are 50 cal tungsten rounds.. sure, the civilians might not have those in mass.. but our government does. Ever see what a 30mm chain gun can do to a tank? .. come on.

We even see in the ending of the other movie how they die from a specific frequency, but even without that, many sound based weapons could be easily devised, including microwave weapons, as those can bypass the armor entirely. There's also other ways to pacify them, like industrial glue that hardens quickly, could spray to soak them, even combined with an expanding foam to help trap them. They can't do anything if they can't move. Then there's other even simpler ways, such as simply just drowning them by creating pool traps that can close up on them. There are all kinds of ways to deal with them. Mouse trap style things with giant thick metal bars that can snap shut, pinning them. Heavily armored vehicles that has spray nozzles on the outside for the glue to drip down the sides, and as they attack it, they get glue all over them, either sticking to the vehicle, or sticking to themselves, or whatever else, incapacitating them.

Such LAZY writing what a shame why make the creatures impenetrable? if they were so indestructible why didn't they stay on there home planet? Even dinosaurs skin is penetrable. A fun movie but that aspect always annoyed me. Like why not give humanity a fighting chance maybe the skin could be penetrable but they still have super strength ect. They seem like they should have died off out in space if they just killing everything what would they eat? how would they survive? your telling me an alien species lands on earth and is perfectly adapted to the environment?
Do you think the aliens meant to leave their planet? This is an apocalyptic movie, and the plot is about people surviving in this apocalypse. If the humans won, there would be no apocalypse and no movie. And I don’t know why you think they’ve adapted. You said it yourself, they kill almost everything. And the only thing they have “adapted to” is not killing natural things. And in the city, there are not many natural things. The mysteries of the creatures in Quiet Place, like where they came from, are interesting and I’m glad they don’t explain every little thing, because it’s fun and interesting. So when you see the movie for the first time, it’s surprising. Movies like Jurassic World and Quiet Place are different, and you can’t complain that they aren’t exactly alike.
