De Gea was the best shot stopper in the world a few seasons ago, not anymore. If you look at shot stopping stats, he has been average to below average the last 3 seasons. Probably because he makes a lot of blunders that ruin his stats these days.
If an instinctive saves, penalty saves, free kick saves on air, and his hand throws are good, there is no need of going extra miles with foot for a goalie. It didn't even help for the former Colombian goalkeeper who was humiliated by Roger Miller of Cameroon

Problem is rashy is not good at any hold up play style, he is easily shoved off in long range balls, he doesnt have the strength to outmuscle headers or receive those long balls. Only possibility is to launch it ahead of him where possibly he can make use of it. He is not the very best at it either.

I am a bit sceptical about onana's style and i am afraid utd Will lose a lot of games till onana Will learn how to deal with premier league. He goes to far on the pitch and leave the goal unprotected and for sure the long range goal he conceded in lens game will not be the last. 2016-2018 ddg is the best shot stopper i have ever seen in my life.. he still made numerous saves last season but he is more error prone than ever especially in big games.. the strangest thing about ddg is he can make impossible saves but in many occasions cannot save the easy ones. De Gea not only good with Reflexes, hand shot-stopping, but he also VERY GOOD at shot stopping using both of his LEGS. There's many situation of which LEGS is a big necessary of a use, which is to stop and clear the ball instantly. People doesn't understand how VERY GOOD de gea is. It is NOT his fault that those defenders can't even protect of what's in the back line.
