look how much they've changed. editing this was a journey, my boys have been through so much and they are still just two dumb idiots in love.
absolutely inspired by the evolution of edward nygma by flygurl2Zim which is one of my fav edits of all time (if you ever see this I love you and your work inspires me so thank you)
this is hopefully the first of many gotham edits from me so stay tuned - i have a lot of ideas already.

Personally I felt that Ed wasn’t in love with Oswald but the Riddler was; I think it went the other way too, where Oswald loved the Riddler but not Ed. As Ed became more and more Riddler he and Penguin got closer, but when Ed and the Riddler are separate Ed just straight up hated Oz lmao

They basically are. We know Oswald is in love with Ed, that's clear. When it comes to Ed I think their hug in S5 and the fact that he stayed n Gotham for Oswald make it pretty clear that he's in love with Oswald as well. So, it's at least semi-canon.
It’s mostly canon, especially when both Robin Lord Taylor and Cory Michael ships Oswald and Nygma, then it’s canon.

They are my fav characters and they need to be together. I think Ed really loved Oswald and riddler didn't want him to love anyone because he never got to love anyone. And riddler also might be jealous but idk. This made me cry for like 5 to 10 mins straight because this is so amazing. They would be the best at ruling Gotham. Oswald and Ed will be happy until the end of time😭

So, I’m in the process of writing a nygmobblepot fanfiction and thus watching a lot of clips and videos to really understand the characters and something hit me the other day.
About Ed, and love; it seems to me that Riddler is triggered with strong emotions like love and tragedy. Riddler and Ed are first unified when Ed kills Kristen and then later, when Ed kills Oswald... and Oswald is able to call out Riddler, who has wanted Oswald to acknowledge him by calling him Riddler... That’s why the whole Lee debacle seemed weird to me. Both Ed and Riddlers feelings were never so strong for Lee as they were for Kristen and Oswald...

This was amazing!! Wow the timing was perfect and I loved seeing so many little moments that I forgot about. I am glad you didn't put that last betrayal in, my brain tends to block that out and end things for them at 4x15.
Just realized this but if Isabella truly loved and knew what Oswald was capable of, she would have let Ed go. But she didn't.
I just started watching Gotham and from the moment i saw them together for the first time, i wished for them to end up together. Now, i am reading people's comment and from the looks of it, i don't think it will happen. God, at least let oswald and edward be happy at the end!

I love the ship but they look so good as best friends 😫 I'm actually kinda happy they stayed as close friends because like it says multiple times in the show, love makes a man weak. Their love can be used against them. Plus when they are friends and they constantly betray each other, it keeps the idea of the penguin and the riddler alive.
Just my opinions that I think they are better of as close friends than actual lovers. 👉👈
