THIS is the most amazing tip! I've been so frustrated that there didn't seem to be a way to do this. What I've been doing is place a new cube on the plane, then align the offending object to the new cube, then delete the new cube. Press D is what I was looking for! Thanks for that. SUBSCRIBED! P.S.
