If I didn't need my dbl transplant, I would buy it. You could still do a lot with it. Perfect for someone who doesn't need a mansion, but wants to be in the keys. Marathon seems to have a sense of community and has more of the shopping, health care, and recreational needs many of us are accustomed to having. Thanks ❤
Thanks for the video! Looking at the listing and doing the math, this is basically $390 per SF. Not bad. Saving up and hope to find something similar on Grassy Key, No Name Key, or really any Key that emphasizes a low density, low noise, old school laid back vibe that I found on my first trip down there in 78.
I talked with someone who has live there awhile and he mention $500 water bills due to piping the water from main land....my water bill was $19.63 in Austin....

Good price for the Keys. I live in Naples and starting price for single family is in the $400s.
Marathon is a great place to raise a family. Nice home. Wont last long. I just dont like how small and low the windows in the bedrooms are.
I see the seller wanted $539,000 back on 5/17/23 (from Zillow). And has dropped the asking price regularly ever since. Important part of the equation.
I can only imagine the price of this same house if it were in Key West.

Serious question! LOL I have a Jeep, and I was wondering if there was anywhere, from Key Largo to Key West, is there any place you can drive your car on the beach? As far as I can tell, there are no places. Thanks! This is a great video btw.
Lol, there's really no natural long beaches in the keys. It's coral and other natural rocks, not great for tires even if there was one long enough to drive on

Anyone know what a homeowners insurance amount would be for this?
If you have to ask, you can’t afford it. I live 5 miles from the Atlantic on high ground and no hurricanes. 1600 sqft. $6000. In Indian River Country.

You can basically figure property taxes here will run you 1% of the purchase price of the home.
I live in western mass and that price point wouldn’t get you much more lol

I don't even know if storm surge (hurricane winds pushing the sea across the island land) requires wind insurance or flood insurance.
It is not required if you pay cash, but you can bet that you won't find lending without being able to get insurance. The good news is this particular home would be easily insurable and lending is available, but the insurance would be HIGH!

not even room for a couch!!! much less a real table and chairs that could actually seat 3 bedrooms worth of people (4 people)plus claustrophobic ceilings. no way, a condo would be better
