I love this type of videos because we're still kind of in lockdown in Germany and I'm not a fan of ordering fabric online so I'm always looking for ideas on what to make with the fabric I still have at home.

I’m with you on that I don’t like ordering fabric online as I worry it’s nothing like what’s advertised or not good quality, the ideas for buying materials from charity or thrift stores plus buying oversized garments and cutting them down is great also

Hi Janelle, some more lovely ideas. Coincidentally, I've just been making ironing board covers for my stall. I'm not sure how many people still use an iron but I guess I'll find out! I have two ironing boards, a regular size and a mini table-top board which is great for small items. I'm keen to get one of those mini crafting irons I've seen in you tube clips.

You can buy replacement felt pass for your ironing board, Brabantia make a large pad that you can cut to size, the new cover looks good, but the foam underneath appears to be breaking down. When I replaced the pad on my ironing board it made a big difference. If the foam becomes too thin you can start to get the impression of the metal mesh of the board impressed on to your fabric

Looove eye masks as a scrap buster. You can also double the scrap busting potential by making the wadding with scraps. I’ve done this by layering 2 layers of fleece or 4 of flannel and sewing those together. Waste not want not!

It would have to be 100% natural fabric (cotton etc), and I guess the thicker the fabric the longer it would last! I would say my fabric was a light-mid weight cotton 😊
